Hakin United defend strongly against Monkton Swifts at the Obs



 

Vikings rout Swifts to return top of  table

 

Alfie Stotter bagged a brilliant hat-trick for Hakin UnitedHakin United 7 – Monkton Swifts 3

 
Man of the match Alfie Stotter claimed a hat-trick and an assist for Hakin United who put seven past Monkton Swifts to return to the top of the table.
 
However, it was the Swifts who took the lead as the visitors started brightly as mix-up at the back for Hakin, put Jamie Wilkes in space as he tucked home past goalkeeper Rhys Sinnott.
 
Justin ‘Skinny’ Harding’s Vikings team didn’t panic as within two minutes Stotter equalised following a neat Jack Griffiths assist.
 
Five minutes before the break the Vikings struck twice which gave them a 3-1 cushion at half time. Scott Paddison’s cross fell to Griffiths who struck a shot which bobbled past Gethin Davies, on the stroke of the interval skipper Ryan Wilson finished clinically from 12 yards out.
 
On the hour mark the hosts bagged their fourth, Shane Walsh headed from a corner straight to Stotter for a far post tap-in.
 
Midfielder Griffiths set-up Stotter for his hat-trick for the fifth, Stotter set-up Walsh who added the sixth, before defender Kieran King struck the seventh.
 
The Swifts struck tow late consolation goals through substitute Rudy Poole and an own goal finished off the scoring in a ten-goal bonanza.

Tenby claimed another precious victory as they got the better of fourth in the table Clarbeston Road at the Clicketts.
 
Tenby are currently sixth in the table, just two points behind Mat Fox’s Clarby outfit with seven games until the end of the season.
 
Striker Adam Muskett scored in the 29th and 44th minutes to give his side a healthy 2-0 cushion at the break.
 
Four minutes after the restart Jerome Mansbridge struck Tenby’s third, the visitors pulled one back in the 70th minute through Matthew Davies, but it was never enough to trouble in form Tenby as they picked up their sixth win of the season.
