Welsh Premier League football set to return in March

Football to return

There was some positive news announced on 4th January (yesterday) with the return of football imminent as the FAW boards met and discussed providing an update on a return to play.

The National Board, Community Game Board and National Cup Board have updated on the status of competitions and relevant fees due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic.

As far as Pembrokeshire is concerned the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football Senior Leagues and Todaro’s Hair and Beauty Junior Football Leagues have already taken the lead to postpone the season.

However, Haverfordwest County who last played in the Welsh Premier on December 16th when they beat Barry Town United 2-1 are set to return to action at the Bridge Meadow Stadium.

The Bluebirds who currently sit seventh in the table as the FAW have announced the Welsh Premier with a proposed start date of 5th March until 31st May.
