League and Cup Football round-up - 2nd October 2021 - by Gordon Thomas

There was only one game completed in the Pembrokeshire Football League Division One and just two teams completed their West Wales Intermediate cup round one ties, the rest fell victim to the horrendous rain that fell on Saturday.

Dylan Davies scored twice for Monkton Swifts

Ten-man Swifts are too hot for poor Bluebirds

Narberth 0 – Monkton Swifts 7

Ten-man Monkton Swifts comprehensively beat struggling Narberth at Jesse Road.

Martyn Carroll struck the opener before Swifts’ defender Josh Dearsely received his marching orders from referee Sean O’Connor.

Jimmy Russell’s Swifts outfit continued to dominate despite being down to ten-men, Rhodri Davies bagged the second on 25 minutes, Dylan Davies added the third.

Five minutes after the interval saw Davies’s bag his second of the game for goal number four.

In the 62nd minute Jimmy Wilkes swept home the fifth before Jack Clarke made no mistake with goal number six, on the stroke of full time saw the luckless Jordan Howell put the ball into his own net to complete the scoring.
