Good wins in the West Wales Cup for local teams

Nicky Woodrow bagged four goals for the mighty VikingsOnce again the rain played havoc but there were still a number of games involving teams from Pembrokeshire in the West Wales Cup and two matches went ahead in the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division.

Starting in the cup, it was a good day for local teams, and also a good day for hat-tricks!

Hakin United won 3-0 against Morriston; Nicky Woodrow bagged a treble for the Vikings who have progressed into the last sixteen of the competition.

Herbrandston won 3-1 at home against Waunarlywdd, striker Scott Reid was on target with three goals for the Pickles.

Sandfields lost 1-4 against holders Goodwick United. Centre back Scott Delaney grabbed three goals alongside a Kieran O’Brien goal.

In the First Division, Pennar Robins beat Narberth 3-1 at home. Pennar’s goals were shared by Josh Dearsley, Josh Clark and Ben Adams; Jordan Williams scored a consolation goal for the visitors.

St Clears won 4-0 at home against struggling Milford United. The Saints’ scorers were Jon Seeley 2, Jonny Thomas and Steve Thomas.
