The games are happening thick and fast as the race for the Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League First Division is reaching its climax.

Monkton Swifts are four points clear at the top of the table and if they win their last two games then the silverware will be presented at Monkton Lane. Goodwick United are four points behind the leaders and have played the same amount of games as the league leaders. Merlins Bridge are ten points behind in third, but have three games in hand, and they all must play each other before the title will be decided.

Starting at the Obs, Hakin United lost 2-4 against Monkton Swifts. Ryan Wilson and Justin Harding netted for the Vikings, but the Swifts sealed the precious points with a brace apiece from Jimmy Russell and Dylan Davies.

Fourth in the table Carew won 7-0 against Neyland at home. The Rooks’ scorers were Sam Christopher 2, Lloyd Hughes 2, Iwan Izzard, Shaun Whitfield, James Hinchliffe.

Third placed Merlins Bridge won 5-0 against St Clears. Joe Leahy 2, Laurie Haworth, Richard Hughes and Nathan Greene netted for the Wizards.

Rock bottom Herbrandston lost 2-4 against Saundersfoot Sports. Richard Cope struck a superb hat-trick for the Sports and Chris Millward also scored. Skipper Scott Reid bagged a brace for the homesters.

Narberth were convincingly beaten 0-6 against second in the table Goodwick United at Jesse Road. Jonny Horgan cracked a brilliant hat-trick and Rhys Dalling added a brace plus centre back Scott Delaney found the back of the net.
