Vikings slay courageous Wizards

Hakin United 4 – Merlins Bridge1

Champions Hakin United put on a superlative second half display to convincingly beat arch-rivals Merlins Bridge at the Obs.

Scott Davies’ Vikings controlled matters despite the Wizards putting up a stiff rear guard as it remained goalless at half time.

Ryan Wilson, Leon Luby combined to set up Thomas down the left and his pinpoint cross in the box fell to Laurie Haworth who made no mistake against his former teammates for the second goal.

A minute later and the Vikings added the third, Harding played in teammate Ashley Bevan who wasted no time as he drilled low past Ben Henton from 12 yards.

The Vikings kept pushing forward and were rewarded with a fourth, Luby and Jaydon Chapman combined to set-up Jay Power who finished with a slide-rule six-yard finish.
