Wizards win comfortably thanks to Jago’s hat-trick

Carew 0 - Merlins Bridge 4

 
Tom Jago claimed an excellent hat-trick which helped Merlins Bridge to a convincing victory against Carew at the Gerald Hicks Memorial Ground.
 
Wizards’ manager Mike Preddy will be happy his team is currently unbeaten after three games and sitting second in the table whilst The Rooks have a solitary point and currently sitting second from bottom.
 
The visitors led 3-0 at the break with Jago scoring the opener and third goals sandwiched between Tom Gwilliam who was on target with the second.
 
The second period was a tighter affair before substitute Peter Thomas teed up Jago who scored his side’s fourth and completed his well taken treble.

Tish in seventh heaven at shell shocked Clarby Road

St Ishmaels picked up their first win of the season with an excellent all round display against shell shocked Clarbeston Road at the Knock Field.
 
Tish built up a thoroughly deserved two nil cushion at half time before Aaron Hallam and Tom Williams found the back of the net for Graham Ninnis’ lively outfit.
 
The Road failed to gain a foothold in the game as Tish were far hungrier and were rewarded with further goals in the second period by Hallam with the third, substitute Joel Morgans was on target with the fourth and fifth goals.
 
Late in the game Hallam added the sixth for the striker’s well deserved hat-trick, three minutes from full time Nathan Thomas bagged his side’s seventh to complete the rout.

Bevan is two good for spirited Swifts

Hakin United kept their impressive unbeaten start to the season with a hard fought victory against Monkton Swifts at Monkton Lane.
 
Vikings’ manager Scott Davies will be pleased his team came through this stiff test as they are the early title pace setters at the top of the table.
 
It was a scrappy opening 45 minutes with neither team creating any clear cut scoring opportunities.
 
Two minutes after the break the visitors finally broke the deadlock when skipper Ryan Wilson’s pinpoint cross was met by striker Ashley Bevan who made no mistake from six yards.
 
On the hour mark The Vikings added a crucial second goal when Kieran King’s intelligent ball in the box fell to deadly Bevan who struck a vicious strike into the top corner from 12 yards.
 
Hakin United will be delighted they kept a clean sheet against a spirited Swifts outfit come the final whistle, whilst Swifts’ camp will be disappointed they didn’t get anything for their whole hearted efforts.

Bluebirds hit for six by rampant Sports

 

Narberth 1 – Fishguard Sports 6

 
Steffan Williams struck an early goal for Narberth, but The Sports gained a convincing six-goal victoryFishguard Sports gained a thoroughly deserved emphatic six-goal victory over ten-man Narberth at Jesse Road.
 
The Bluebirds got off to a dream start as Steffan Williams opened the scoring in the fourth minute, the visitors fought back with goals from Adam Lawrence and two by Luke Thomas to lead 3-1, on the stroke of half time Narberth’s Ashley Williams and coach Jordan Williams were both sent off.
 
After the break Phil Jones’ Sports outfit continued to dominate with three more goals in the second half as Luke Thomas and Adam Lawrence scored a hat-trick apiece to ensure they are currently placed third in the table.

Willis scores crucial second half winner for Pennar

 

Pennar Robins 3 – Kilgetty 2

 
Conner Willis bagged a second half winner for Pennar Robins against Kilgetty in a five-goal thriller encounter at Bush Camp.
 
This was a highly entertaining tussle which either side could have won but come the final whistle Robins’ manager Chris Vincent will be delighted they picked up the three points that were on offer.
 
Kilgetty took the lead through a well taken effort scored by Richard Cope, it was short lived as Willis levelled matters  before the Robins took the lead as Gareth Bradney struck the back of the net. Determined Kilgetty equalised through Henry Lawrence as the score read 2-2 at half time.
 
In a tight second period the crucial moment came in the 75th minute as Connor Roberts released Willis who grabbed the winner which gave the striker his second goal of an exciting clash.
