Smith strikes late to earn Pennar a deserved draw

 

Pennar Robins 2 – Tenby 2

 
Pennar Robins’ captain Kieran Smith struck a late equaliser to earn Pennar Robins a deserved point against fifth in the table Tenby at Bush Camp.
 
The hosts took a 1-0 lead after going old school direct, as new signing Toby Davies took the ball down beat the left back before he drilled his low effort from edge of the box in to the far corner across goalkeeper Dylan Noot.
 
Seven minutes later Tenby equalised from a wicked in-swinging corner which Dan Storer powerfully headed home from six yards.
 
Only a minute after the break, former Pennar player Liam tapped home from three yards thanks to a low cross and another assist from Jerome Williams.
 
In 87th minute a break in midfield instigated from the hard working Noah Davison who was composed to find captain Kieran Smith on the edge of the box, who duly smashed it home to earn Pennar a deserved draw against Tenby.
 
Pennar Robins manager Craig Butland said: “It’s no secret after losing so many players in the summer we are going through another rebuild but the boys are putting in the hard work and were brilliant today, against a good side who will be up there come April. Full credit to my players who stood up and put in a top shift to earn a deserved point.”

Bevan’s double sinks battling Sports

 

Hakin United 3  – Fishguard Sports 1

 
Ashley Bevan - scored two second half goals for HakinDeadly striker Ashley Bevan struck two late goals to earn Hakin United victory against battling Fishguard Sports at the Obs.
 
Scott Davies’ Vikings are the early top of the table leaders with last season’s champions just two points behind in second spot.
 
The visitors took the lead in the 22nd minute when Greg Hughes made no mistake from the penalty spot.
 
Sports’ goalkeeper Ryan Sinnott had a good game denying The Vikings on countless occasions, on the stroke of half time the hosts equalised, Cameron Brunton cross fell kindly for Hakin skipper Ryan Wilson who scored from close range.
 
The Vikings who were frustrated finally got their noses in front when they bagged their second late in the match, Liam Parks’ cross found Bevan who buried his effort from six yards.
 
Ten minutes later The Vikings added a crucial third, a carbon copy of the second, Parks’ pinpoint cross fell to Bevan who finished clinically from close range.

Goodwick are too hot for Kilgetty

Rhys Jones - scored twice for Goodwick UnitedGoodwick United ran riot as they comfortably overcame Kilgetty at the Kingsmoor Ground.
 
Goodwick boss Nigel Delaney is delighted with the current free-scoring form of his team after an indifferent start to the season.
The visitors led 4-1 at the break and they scored four further goals in the second half as they dominated proceedings.
 
Rhys Jones scored from the spot for the opener, Ben Adams added the second before Callum Proctor pulled one back for Kilgetty, Will Haworth and Jake Smith added two more before half time.
 
Rhys Dalling added the fifth shortly after the interval, the best goal of the game was the sixth as the ball was played out of defence before Jones latched onto a byline cross for his second of the game. Will Haworth and substitute Guto Roberts added the seventh and eighth to complete the scoring.

Swifts win high scoring clash against Wizards

Wizards’ manager Mike Preddy will be disappointed that his side have lost back-to-back home games, but The Swifts will be delighted that they picked up their fourth win of the season as they are perched third in the table.
 
James Russell struck the Swifts’ opener before Iwan Howells equalised, Jamie Wilkes restored the Swifts’ lead with a superb strike, but once again The Wizards levelled matters through Sam Nicholas.
 
Just before the break The Swifts added two quick fire goals through substitute Dylan Davies and Connor Davies as they led 4-2 at half time.
 
Paul Miller came off the bench to slot home the fifth, before Wizards’ skipper Jordan Thomas was on target with his sides third.
 
The visitors finished strongly as they added two further goals, Miller with the sixth and Davies with the seventh, both men finishing with a brace apiece.

Bluebirds narrowly defeat Rooks for first points of season

 

Narberth 3 – Carew 2

 
Steffan Williams scored the opener for Narberth against CarewNarberth held onto a slender lead to pick up their first win of the season at the expense of Carew at Jesse Road.
 
The Bluebirds took an early lead  as Jacob Layfies assisted for Ashley Williams who found the back of Jack Harries’ net, it turned out to be the only goal of the opening 45 minutes.
 
Shortly after the break Tony Evans struck which gave his side a two-goal cushion, just before the hour mark Sol Phillips pulled a goal back for The Rooks.
 
Narberth added a third goal in the 76th minute, Aidan Howitt assisted for Steffan Williams who hit the back of the net.
 
The visitors were awarded a penalty that Marcus Griffiths missed, however, two minutes later the striker scored his side’s second, but The Bluebirds held their nerve for the remainder to pick up their first points of the campaign.

Tish complete league double over The Road

 

St Ishmaels 2 – Clarbeston Road 1

 
Ieuan Hawkins - bagged the second goal for Tish just after the intervalSt Ishmaels held on for a nervous victory to complete an early season double over Clarbeston Road.
 
Earlier this month Tish impressively won 7-0 at The Road, however, this was a far tighter affair.
 
Arran Hallam assisted for Finley Armstrong who opened the scoring in the 29th minute, shortly after the break Tish added a second through Ieuan Hawkins thanks to a neat Adam Kingsbeer assist.
 
In the 67th minute The Road pulled one back through Jake Wesley who received an assist from Ben John, the visitors failed to find an equaliser as Tish stood firm for victory which sees them in an impressive fourth place in the table.
