Ten-man Vikings too hot for Rooks

 

Carew 1 – Hakin United 8

 
Ten-man Hakin United have moved three points clear at the top of the table thanks to another impressive display this time against Carew at the Gerald Hicks Memorial Ground.
 
Scott Davies’ Vikings led 4-0 at the break, with barely two minutes on the clock Lean Luck struck a 15 yard opener, midfielder Jack Griffiths headed home twice before Ben Aldred received his marching orders for preventing a certain goal with a save on his own goal line, up stepped Carew’s Jordan Richards who blazed his effort from 12 yards over the crossbar.
 
On the stroke of half time Cameron Thomas released Luby down the latter squared it to Cameron Brunton who finished clinically in the far corner from the edge of the 18 yard box.
 
In the 56th minute Luby was taken down inside the box for a cast iron penalty, which he dusted himself off and subsequently buried his spot-kick to make it 5-1.
 
Four minutes later Brunton added his second goal of the game with a well struck 12 yard finish for the sixth.
 
Substitute Shane Walsh added the seventh with a neatly struck ten yard finish, before The Rooks’ substitute Rhys Lewis grabbed his sides only goal.
 
However, The Vikings had the final say as Kieran King up from defence scored an easy far post tap-in to complete the scoring.

Convincing victory for the free scoring Swifts

 

Monkton Swifts 12 – Narberth 0

 
Paul Miller - bagged a hat-trick for Monkton SwiftsMonkton Swifts moved up to second in the table following this convincing victory against Narberth at Monkton Lane.
 
The Swifts led 5-0 at the break and continued to dominate by scoring a further seven goals in the second period.
 
The goals were spread evenly in the opening 45 minutes with Jamie Wilkes, Paul Miller, Luke Phillips Connor Davies and Jason Finnegan.
 
Miller added the sixth shortly after the interval, Finnegan bagged his second of the game with goal number seven.  Miller grabbed his hat-trick with the Swifts’ eighth.
 
Substitute James Russell added the ninth, Dylan Davies was on target with the tenth, Luke Phillips (his second of the game) struck the eleventh before Russell, also got his second of the game by scoring his side’s twelfth.

Clarby Road complete league double over The Sports

 
 

Fishguard Sports 0 – Clarbeston Road 3

 
Ben John - was on target with the second goal for Clarbeston Road at Fishguard SportsClarbeston Road were good value for their victory against Fishguard Sports at Tregroes Park.
 
The Road beat The Sports 2-1 earlier in the season and this win gave them a deserved double as they sit sixth in the table and The Sports are eighth.
 
The visitors controlled matters in the opening 45 minutes as Emyr Griffiths and Ben John bagged the goals for The Road as they led 2-0 at half time.
 
After the break the visitors added a third goal as Jack Ashman struck and there was no way back for the disappointing home outfit.

Tenby bag a late point against Goodwick

 

Tenby 3 – Goodwick United 3

 
Rhys Jones - missed a penalty but redeemed himself by scoring a terrific free kick for Goodwick at TenbyTenby came from behind to gain a precious point against the champions Goodwick United in a highly entertaining clash at the The Clicketts.
 
The hosts finished the game with nine men and the visitors had ten on the pitch at the final whistle.
 
Tenby took an early lead as Scott Ferney was in the right place at the right time to score with an easy tap-in.
 
Midway through the first half the visitors responded to level matters as midfielder Jake Smith found the far corner of Dylan Noot’s net.
 
On the half hour mark Goodwick were reduced to ten men as Rhys Dalling received a straight red from referee Stefan Jenkins.
 
Tenby skipper Joe Leahy put his side ahead as he struck a low shot in the far corner past James Gwilt, but on the stroke of half time centre back Ross Jones headed home at a corner to make it 2-2 at the break.
 
Five minutes after the break Tenby were also reduced to ten men as a strong tackle by centre back Richard Hughes led to a straight red.
 
Nigel Delaney’s Goodwick outfit were awarded a penalty on the hour mark, up stepped Rhys Jones who skied it over the bar.
 
On 63 minutes Tenby were reduced to nine men as Ferney picked up his second yellow card offence of the afternoon.
 
Two minutes later midfielder Jones made amends for his earlier penalty blunder, by scoring a terrific 30 yard free kick which flew into the net and gave his side a slender 3-2 advantage.
 
However, in the 90th minute Tenby bagged an equaliser as Lloyd Hughes scored with a timely header to salvage a point for his team.

Dramatic draw at the Kingsmoor Ground

 

Kilgetty 3 – Pennar Robins 3

 
Kilgetty grabbed a late stoppage time equaliser through Henry Lawrence to earn his team a hard fought draw against battling Pennar Robins at the Kingsmoor ground.
 
Pennar dominated the early stages without any clear efforts on goal, a few sparking moments but nothing that tested keeper Kurtis Marsh, until captain Kieran Smith struck a 30 yard thunderbolt on his weaker foot into the top right hand corner to leave keeper Marsh no chance.
 
Pennar went in 1-0 at half time, probably deserving of more. The second goal came in the 49th minute  as this time Smith set up striker Toby Davies who hit one bottom corner from 20 yards out.
 
From the kick off lapse of concentration and Kilgetty were straight back in the game. A good save from keeper Ryeley Clark was followed by from seven yards by Rhys Hewson to make it 2-1.
 
The goal changed the flow of the game as Kilgetty were on the ascendancy, Pennar with standing the pressure until Henry Lawrence low drive shot from outside the area nestled into the bottom corner to make it 2-2 in the 81st minute.
 
The final moments turned into a basketball match with both teams wanting a winner, until a Pennar counter attack seen Sean Edmundson break from the half way line 2 v 1 with Toby Davies in support, Edmundson playing a coolly weighted pass 12 yards out for Davies to stroke home in the 93rd minute.
 
Referee Sion Jenkins saying 4 minutes left, a needless free kick given away on the far touchline resulted in a lofted free kick which evaded everyone for Henry Lawrence to score his second and make it 3-3 in the 96th minute.
