Cullen double must give Cooper a nudge for some Championship game time for Swans
Impressive Liam Cullen scored twice for the Swansea Under-23s the striker gave Championship manager Steve Cooper a gentle reminder of his potential as a truly ace finisher.
Young Swans were held to a 3-3 draw by Colchester United in an entertaining Professional Development League encounter at Landore on Sunday.
Cullen, who is a Pembrokeshire lad grabbed brace sandwiched a fine strike by Oli Cooper as the young Swans opened up commanding 3-0 lead early in the second half.
However, Colchester fought back to snatch a point, although the hosts did well to hold on for a share of the spoils after Daniel Williams’ red card in the latter stages of the contest.
