2025 Senior Cup Final - Milford United - Pen Pics

Milford United Pen Pictures:

Charlie Malloy

  1. Charlie Malloy - 18, Goalkeeper (Valero Apprentice)
A very consistent, reliable and regular stopper for Milford United. Came through the ranks at Marble Hall under his dad Dai Malloy’s junior team and has successfully brought his qualities into senior football. One of Pembrokeshire’s best young keepers and he’s also a good cricketer too and a very safe pair of hands in either sport.

Ieuan Rutherford

  1. Ieuan Rutherford - 25, Central Midfielder (Graduate Engineer.)
The professor of the team with a real football brain. Another successful product from Milford United’s junior ranks and returned to the club after completing his formal education at Oxford University. An ever willing ball player, who will be looking to pull the strings from midfield. Not the tallest of midfielders, but combined with his skills and strength from karate, he looks after the ball particularly well.

 Anthony Hubbuck

  1. Anthony Hubbuck - 46, Central Defender (Scaffolder.)
Originally a goalkeeper for Milford United, but he’s now excelling in his new role as Centre back. A natural ball winner, strong aerially and on the floor. The senior statesman of this young United squad, but never gives an inch and never gives in and will relish the challenges that the final will bring.

Scott Griffiths

  1. Scott Griffiths - 31, Central Defender (Rhyal, Health & Safety Adviser.)
Club legend Scotty, another one to come through the juniors at Milford United. He will no doubt hope that he can replicate his success as a junior, by lifting the Senior Cup for Milford United. An ever present at the back, who picked up a red card in the semifinal. His excellent communication and organisation skills, will be crucial for the team on cup final day. Decent with the bat in cricket and if the Robins take the lead, he may be hitting a few boundaries at the Bridge.

Rhys Brawn

     5.   Rhys Brawn - 18, Right Back/Midfield.

Another player to make the successful transition from Dai Malloy’s junior team into senior football. A solid defender whose pace out wide has seen him move comfortably into midfield. An ever present in Milford United’s cup run this year and continues to get better every week.

Ben Lloyd

  1. Ben Lloyd - 20, Midfield/ Defender (College Student and Robins’ barman.)
Ben has been a key player in the Robins season, playing 24 games in total and willing to support the 1sts, 2nds and 3rds in any role. He’s strong and quick which has helped him secure a spot in the Senior Cup final squad. He’s brought more quality into his attack this year, weighing in with 3 goals and 4 assists. And will no doubt be asking for a night off on the 12th April

Joey Jones

     7.  Joey Jones - 16, Midfield (College Student, plumbing and electrical.)

Another talented prospect to step up to senior football and excel in his first season. Growing in each game and probably our best outfield player in the semifinal. Always a handful and a real threat going forward. Deceptively quick and strong and has been a breath of fresh air on and off the pitch this season.

Liam Davies

    8.  Liam Davies - 29, Midfield / Striker (First Milk, Shift Manager and part time Firefighter.)

‘Smithy’ is the second Davies son in the squad. Work commitments slowed his start to the season, but kicked on with consistent performances under his belt. A very versatile and intelligent footballer and scored the important winner against Clarby Road in the league. Will be hoping to have a similar affect on the final.

Wesley Hill

     9.  Wesley Hill - 25, Defender/ Midfield (Puffin, Maintenance Technician.)

Wes is an ever improving player, who came into junior football late and has really established himself in senior football. Winning the 5th Division cup in one of his first seasons. A real bundle of energy and expect to see him pop up in both boxes. That energy makes him a really important player in the squad. Equally comfortable in defence or breaking up play in midfield and driving forward.

Liam Parr

   10.   Liam Parr - 28, Striker/ Midfield ( Altrad, Blaster and Painter.)

Another player to make the successful transition from junior to senior football as a Robin. Also a great coach in his own right at the college and Robin’s junior team. But this year has seen him pick up a number of frustratingly bad injuries. He’s been a regular top goalscorer at the club for many seasons and will hoping he can take that form into the final.

Scott Reid

  11.   Scott Reid - 33, Striker (Police Officer.)

This is Reidy’s second stint at Marble Hall, who has also played for our opponents. Training in his new career in the Police limited his season, but he’s recognised for his goal scorer qualities throughout Pembrokeshire. Showed great composure to slot home United’s winning goal in the semi final.

Sam Davies

12. Sam Davies - 27, Right Back / Centre Half (Scaffolder.)
Milford United Football Club has a very strong association with the Davies family and Club President Jonathan will be a very proud man seeing his sons Sam and Liam playing in their first Senior Cup final. Sam is hitting top form at the right time. Absolutely rock solid in defence and a real danger when pushing forward to support our attack.

Joshua Lees

 13.  Joshua Lees - 20, Striker/ Midfield

Along with Reidy, Josh came back to Milford United having previously been a talented junior Robin. His performances always impress and a constant thorn in any defence. Josh recently played up top alongside his brother Cameron and bagged all 4 Robins goals, including a penalty. That form has seen him score 10 and create 8 assists already this season.

Jack Dyer

14.  Jack Dyer - 17, Midfield (A Level Student Jack (A Level student,  business, economics and geography.)

We introduced a 3rd team this season, to develop Simon Rutherford’s good Robins U16’s squad into senior football. But the cream always rises to the top and Jack quickly cemented his place in the 1sts squad. He’s played in every round and weighed in with the opening goal in the semifinal. A neat volley from a set piece. Great to see him break into the 1sts and with his great energy and qualities, he looks at home in the central midfield role.

William Goodall

15.  William Goodall - 36, Central Defender (Senior Engineer Water Management.)

A definite ‘one Club man,’ who played junior football in his dad, Bruce’s (Club Secretary) successful Robins team before joining the senior team. He’s following Bruce’s footsteps and is now coaching his own son at Marble Hall. He’s helped United get back into Division One and on the way win the Division Two cup final. Impressive in the air and his height makes him a real asset in both boxes. He came on in the semifinal and was commanding and composed in helping the 10-man Robins team take the game to secure a cup final place.

Morgan Picton

16.  Morgan Picton - 25, Centre Midfield (Rhyal, Mechanical Engineer.)

Morgs is just making his way back into the squad after picking up a bad shoulder injury. Until that injury, he was a regular in the central midfield. He made his comeback game in the semifinal and will be an important addition to the squad. A good ball playing midfielder who will be looking to take control from set pieces.

Tommy Powles

17.  Tommy Powles - 17, Midfield / Striker (A Level Student, Maths, PE and Biology.)

Through his elder brother Olly, we saw the talent in Tommy and picked him up from Hakin this season. A very clever and versatile player, who played a really crucial role when coming on in the semifinal. Started an intricate move in the centre of midfield, which ended with Reidy slotting home the winner.

 Coaches:

Steve Parks

18.  Steve Parks - Robins First Team Manager.

‘Parksy’ previously enjoyed success as a junior Manager at Marble Hall and will no doubt be seeking to replicate that in the senior ranks. Since taking the senior position at Milford United he has encouraged and developed very good young squads. On cup final day, with his son Liam in the Hakin squad, he’s assured that the cup will be in Park’s hands this season.

 Andrew Burgoyne

19.  Andrew Burgoyne - First Aider.

His dad Brian, was a Robins’ coach the last time Milford United reached the Senior Cup Final in 1991. On that occasion they narrowly missed out to New Hedges/Saundersfoot. ‘Burgs’ junior will want to go one better against the odds. He was a 100% player in his many years at marble hall and looks for great performances on the day from his ex-junior players, Scott Griffiths and Ieuan Rutherford, will definitely help.

Terry Berryman

20.  Terry Berryman - 1st Team Assistant Manager.

‘Bugsy’ is an important element of the 1sts coaching staff and Club committee. He assisted with coaching junior Robins teams in the past and has been an ever present over the last two seasons with ’Parksy’s’ 1sts team. Whatever the result on the day, ‘Bugsy’ will be the cool head in the Robins’ dugout.

Simon Rutherford

21.  Simon Rutherford - 3rd Team Manager.

The Robins brought in a 3rds team this season, to develop Simon’s successful junior team. With the 3rds already in possession of the 5th Division title, he will be hoping for further success for his young guns in the Senior Cup Final. As an ex-Robins player himself, he’ll hope his youngsters continue to overachieve in their first season.
