Rhys the Goodwick Dalling strikes late winner
Goodwick United 2 - Hakin United 1
Rhys Dalling struck a dramatic injury time winner for Goodwick United who are on the brink of winning the title as they overcame stunned Hakin United in front of a big crowd at Phoenix Park on Easter Saturday.

The Phoenix Lads won 3-2 at the Obs earlier in the season, it gave Chris O’Sullivan’s team the double over their arch title rivals.
Scott Davies’ Vikings need to win all their games in hand and hope Goodwick slip up in their last game of the season at Monkton Swifts, to have any chance of retaining the title.
In a tight first half both sides were fully committed to the cause, Goodwick thought they had scored early on, but the ball was cleared off the goal line.
Just before half time, Vikings centre half Jay Power put in a strong tackle which up ended midfielder Jake Smith outside the box, up stepped Rhys Jones who coolly struck the resultant free kick in the right corner of Sam Franklin’s net.
After the break, the Vikings came out strongly, Goodwick keeper Kyle Marsh pulled off a couple of brilliant saves to deny the visitors, also Adam John’s deflected strike struck the crossbar.
In the 66
th minute the Vikings equalised as midfielder Jack Britton’s intelligent ball over the top of the defence fell kindly for Nicky Woodrow who ran clear and confidently buried his chance, the Goodwick players were angrily protesting for offside, but referee Sion Jenkins stood firm.
Both sides went in search for a winner, then with the last throw of the dice, Goodwick struck a dramatic winner when Luke Hayward’s floated ball in the Vikings’ box fell to substitute Dalling who lashed home from eight yards.

Easter weekend for Picton to never forget
Neyland 5– St Ishmaels 1
It’s been an incredible 24 hours for Fletcher Picton -it will definitely be an Easter Weekend the teenager won’t forget in a hurry.
Eighteen-year-old Picton came off the bench to score a superb hat-trick for Neyland against relegated St Ishmaels on Saturday, yesterday, Good Friday, he played rugby for Llangwm Youth who lost against Caerphilly Youth in the Bowl Final at the Principality Stadium.
The Nomads led 1-0 at the break as Corey Richards scored for the Nomads, after the break the hosts added a second goal through Picton.
Tish skipper Brennan Devonald pulled one back, but the Nomads strongly finished Aidan Rees slotted the Nomads’ third, plus substitute Picton bagged further goals in the 80
th and 84
th minutes to complete his brilliant treble.

Relegated Saints hit for six by Carew
Carew 6 – St Clears 0
Carew proved too strong for already relegated St Clears who fielded a bare eleven players at the Recreation Ground.
The Rooks controlled matters as they led 4-0 at half time, Adam Muskett struck an early opener before James Hinchliffe and skipper Donny Phillips were on target with the second and third goals, respectively.
In the 41
st minute Muskett bagged his second of the game, after the interval the visitors didn’t add the fifth until the 80
th minute as substitute Charlie Perkins found the back of the net, two minute later another substitute Harvey Drummond added his name to the score sheet.

Sports drew with Swifts to survive
Fishguard Sports 1 – Monkton Swifts 1
Fishguard Sports gained a crucial draw against Monkton Swifts as they survive in the top flight by just two points.
Phil Jones’ Fishguard Sports knew they had to get something from this game, which they did to their full credit.
In the 13
th minute Dylan Davies gave the Swifts the lead after he was set up by Jason Finnegan.
Nine minutes later the Sports levelled matters as Danny Hopkin teed up Jared Gethin who found the back of Stuart James’ net.
There was a big sigh of relief at the final whistle as the Sports outfit knew they had done just enough to secure Division One football next season.
