Important win for Neyland as Picton stars
Neyland 5 – St Clears 3
Teenager Fletcher Picton scored a terrific brace as the star striker helped Neyland to a hard-fought victory against battling St Clears at the Athletic Ground.
This was Neyland’s second win of the season as they sit in ninth as bottom of the table St Clears lost for the sixth time from seven starts.
In the 20
th minute talented young striker Picton struck, it was short-lived as a minute later Nathan Evans equalised for the Saints.
Max Bowman-Davies restored the Nomads’ lead, but again it was cancelled out as Dorian Davies struck for the visitors as the score read 2-2 at the interval.
In the 62
nd minute Picton set up Sean Hannon who made no mistake to put his team 3-2 ahead, again the Saints qualised this time through Jason Baxter.
The Nomads finished strongly and were rewarded as Aidan Rees added his side’s fourth, six minutes from time Mike Chandler set-up Picton who made no mistake with the fifth to secure the precious points.

Rooks start new year with a bang
Carew 3 – Kilgetty 0
Carew started the new year with a bang gaining a comfortable three-goal victory against near neighbours Kilgetty.
Ceri Brace’s Rooks led 2-0 at the break they followed up with a further goal without reply in the second period, as they secured their fourth win of season.
The hosts opened the scoring in the 30
th minute, James Hinchliffe profited from a neat Sonny Phillips assist.
Seven minutes later the Rooks added a second as Shaun Whitfield teed -up striker Jordan Richards who found the back of the net.
In a tighter second half, the visitors created a few chances but failed to find a way past keeper Daniel Evans.
Seven minutes from full time they added the third as former Welsh League star Marcus Griffiths found the target thanks to an excellent Spencer Williams assist.

Jones’ late equaliser saves Goodwick’s blushes
Goodwick United 2 – Clarbeston Road 2
Rhys Jones bagged a dramatic 96
th minute equaliser to earn title seeking Goodwick United rescued a draw when all looked lost against battling Clarbeston Road at Phoenix Park.
Earlier in the season Goodwick comfortably won 7-3 at Clarbeston Road, but this game proved a far stiffer test to the Phoenix Lads.
Currently second placed Goodwick have a game in hand as they are five points adrift of leaders Merlins Bridge whilst much improved Clarby sit in sixth.
This result was not what second placed Goodwick were hoping for whist Clarby can count themselves unlucky they didn’t pick up three points on the road.
The visitors led 1-0 at half time as former Goodwick player Rob Morgans struck from the spot midway through the half.
After the break, the Road doubled the lead when Matthew Griffiths pounced, that second goal rocked the hosts, but Chris O’Sullivan’s team rolled up their sleeves determined to get back in the match.
In the 81
st minute skipper Scott Delaney pulled one back, the visitors were on the back foot for the remainder, the Road had Keegan Summers red carded, down to ten men Jones equalised with the last throw of the dice.

Swifts are too hot for poor Sports
Monkton Swifts 9 – Fishguard Sports 0
Monkton Swifts totally controlled matters as they thrashed poor Fishguard Sports as they picked up their fifth win of season at Monkton Lane.
Swifts manager Chris Lloyd will be pleased with his teams excellent start after the festive break, but oppositive manager Phil Jones will be concerned with his teams display.
The Swifts moved up to third in the table whilst the Sports sit in eighth position.
Dylan Davies opened the scoring early as Declan Carroll, Connor Hay and Ross Jones all hit the target as they led 4-0 at half time.
In the second period playing down the Monkton Lane slope it was one-way traffic as there were further goals by Davies, Carroll with his second, Davies completed his hat-trick from the spot with the seventh, plus Paul Miller scored a late brace to complete the rout.

Quick at draw in basement battle
Pennar Robins 1 – St Ishmaels 1
Pennar Robins came from behind to secure an important point against St Ishmaels in this bottom end of the table tussle at Bush Camp.
Both teams have won just twice this season, so this was always going to be a tight affair.
Gerard Gray’s Tish broke the deadlock in the 36
th minute as skipper Adam Kingsbeer steered the ball into the back of Craig Asparassa’s net.
In a tense second period with both sides created chances it was the Robins who grabbed an important equaliser eleven minutes from full time as Jason Donohoe struck to salvage a point.
