On fire Hallam treble sinks Sports

 
 

Merlins Bridge 6 – Fishguard Sports 1

 
League leaders Merlins Bridge put in another impressive display against Fishguard Sports and once again grabbing the spotlight was striker Aaron Hallam who bagged a stunning hat-trick.
 
Mike Preddy’s Wizards got off to a dream start as they bagged five goals in the opening 21 minutes to stun the shellshocked Sports.
 
Skipper Jordan Thomas opened the scoring with just three minutes on the clock; Hallam struck twice in the opening 16 minutes as Kieran Blundell and Tomos Gwilliam found the back of Patrick Hughes’ net to open up a five-goal lead at the interval.
 
The Sports competed far better in the second half and star man Hallam completed his treble in the 80^th minute before Lucas Price grabbed a late goal for the visitors.

Ten-man Robins hit for six

 

Milford United 1 – Monkton Swifts 6

 

Dylan Davies and Daniel James both claimed hat-tricks for Monkton Swifts who gained a sweet six-goal victory over newly promoted ten-man Milford United at Marble Hall.
 
The visitors led 2-1 at half time, it was the Robins who took an early lead as Alex Ouzman scored, but the visitors hit back with a goal apiece for Davies and James.
 
Midway through the second period Davies struck which put his side 3-1 ahead before Robins’ striker Scott Reid received his marching orders from referee Sean O’Conner.
 
Down to ten-men Andrew Burgoyne’s men were put under pressure as Davies added the fourth for his treble and not to be outdone James struck twice late on to complete his personal treble.

Narberth 2 – Neyland 1

 
Narberth deservedly came from behind to secure a narrow victory over new boys Neyland at Jesse Road.
 
Gavin Rowlands’ Nomads opened the scoring in just two minutes as Max Bowman-Davies was in the right time at the right place to place his shot past Daniel James.
 
There was no further scoring in the first half as the visitors were happy to hold on to their 1-0 lead.
 
However, Ryan Williams’ Narberth outfit grabbed two goals midway through the second period through Sion Jones and Lloyd Hughes who made no mistake from the penalty spot to earn the Bluebirds their second win from three starts as they sit fifth in the table and the Nomads are seventh.

Jack the lad bags four crucial goals for Pennar

 

Pennar Robins 6 – Carew 3

 
In form Jack Jones scored four goals for Pennar Robins who brilliantly fought back to claim victory in a nine-goal thriller against ten-man Carew at Bush Camp.
 
The Rooks started bright and were rewarded as Jordan Lane bagged two quick fire goals for the visitors, but Jones pulled one back on the stroke of half time.
 
Shortly after the break Connor Willis equalised for the Robins and minutes later Jones fire in his second as Pennar led 3-2, Toby Davies struck his side’s fourth before Carew went down to ten-man as Jonty Bennett was issued a straight red card.
 
Rooks’ skipper James Hinchliffe kept his side in the mix as he fired in the Rooks’ third goal, but on fire Jones struck two further goals to secure a precious three points for the home outfit.

St Ishmaels 1 – Goodwick United 8

 
Impressive Goodwick United remain joint top of the table following this eight-goal demolition of St Ishmaels.
 
The Phoenix Boys scored four goals in each half to run out comfortable winners despite Justin Harding scoring the home side’s only goal of the game in the 90^th minute,
 
Ben Adams, Adam Lawrence, Will Haworth and Scott Delaney all found the back of Owen Thomas’ net in the opening 45.
 
After the break the visitors continued to dominate as skipper Delaney added two goals after the break to complete his hat-trick also Mason Jones and Jake Booth got their names on the scoresheet to complete a good day at the office for Mat Fox and Niall Kinsella’s Goodwick outfit.
