Rhys Jones bagged a goal in each half to earn Goodwick United a deserved victory against Carew who moved this fixture on to their seconds team pitch where the going was heavy.
In a tight first half the visitors led 1-0 as Jones profited from a header back across the box from a corner, as the midfielder lashed home from close range.
Nigel Delaney’s team waited until the 64
th minute to add a second goal as Will Haworth cut in and unselfishly squared to Ben Adams who nonchalantly side-footed into the far corner.
In the 80
th minute the visitors were awarded a penalty as substitute Nathan Greene was brought down inside the box, up stepped dead ball specialist Jones who made no mistake from 12 yards.

Danny’s hat-trick earns Sports surprise win at Tenby
Tenby 3 – Fishguard Sports 6
Danny Hopkin scored a superb hat-trick for Fishguard Sports who gained a surprise victory against Tenby in a nine goal thriller played at the Tenby Greenhill all weather pitch.
Phil Jones’ Sports outfit moved out of the drop zone following this cracking victory as they sit third from bottom on same points as second from bottom Narberth.
Hopkin struck an early opener for the visitors before Tenby hit back with a penalty by Scott Ferney that was quickly followed by a well taken goal by Jacob Hipkiss as they led 2-1, but in stoppage time in the first half an unfortunate own goal by Shaun Whitfield levelled matters a 2-2 at half time.
Shortly after the break the hosts regained a 3-2 lead as Hipkiss teed up Ferney who buried his effort past Ryan Sinnott.
A few minutes later Hopkin equalised before he completed his superb hat-trick, in the 75
th minute Luke Thomas put the Sports 5-3 ahead and in stoppage time substitute Jake Griffiths added the sixth to complete the scoring.
