D’Ivry brace helps Wizards sink Kilgetty

Matthew Divry - scored a brace for the WizardsStriker Matthew D’Ivry scored a brace that helped league leaders Merlins Bridge to a hard-fought victory against Kilgetty at the Pembrokeshire Sports Village 4G pitch.
 
Manager Jay Kennedy will be pleased that his team gained another precious three points, this time against seventh placed Kilgetty.
 
The Wizards led 2-0 at the break, plus conceded twice and scored two further goals in the second period.
 
In the 21st minute the hosts opened the scoring as Kilgetty failed to clear their defensive lines and the ever-alert D’Ivry punished them from inside the box.
 
Four minutes before the interval Lloyd Hughes equalised to put his team right back in the game.
 
In the 51st minute Wizards’ captain Andrew John set-up team-mate D’Ivry who made no mistake with his and his sides second.
 
In the 67th minute, the Wizards pressure ensured Dai Davies added his side’s third, before ten minutes later Richard Cope pulled one back for the visitors.
 
In the 81st minute the Wizards were awarded a penalty which Ashley Beck took responsibility to find the back of the net past Ben Evans.

On fire Walsh inspires Vikings’ big win

Shane Walsh starred for Hakin United as the striker scored four times to help his team to a six-goal demolition over gritty Fishguard Sports at the Obs.
 
The champions currently sit fifth in the table having only played five league games, due to their recent impressive cup runs.
 
Teenager Kieran King teed-up Walsh for the opener with barely eight minutes on the clock, the ace poacher struck an unstoppable 20 yarder which flew in the top corner.
 
Minutes before the interval Jack Britton missed a penalty, but Leon Luby added a second to give the Vikings a 2-0 cushion at half time.
 
After the break Scott Davies’ Vikings dominated and were rewarded as Walsh slotted home the third, skipper Ashley Bevan headed home the fourth from a Camron Thomas cross.
 
Walsh was on target with the fifth and sixth goals to complete the scoring, plus there was a big moment for 16-year-old Scott Paddison who replaced Britton in the 77th minute to mark his senior debut for the Vikings.

Road pull off surprise win at Swifts

 

Monkton Swifts 1 – Clarbeston Road 3

 
New signing Rob Morgans scored twice to earn Clarbeston Road a thoroughly deserved win at Monkton Swifts.
 
The Swifts are third in the table and the Road are fifth, the latter have won three of their last four games as the hosts suffered a wobble.
 
In the seventh minute, the visitors got off to a dream start as Morgans who has recently signed from Goodwick struck the opener, in the 39th minute Connor Hay equalised thanks to a neat assist by Declan Carroll as the score read 1-1 at the interval.
 
In the 56th minute striker Ben John was on target with the Road’s second, four minutes later Morgans made no mistake from the spot, and there was no way back for the Swifts as the Road bagged another precious three points.

Goodwick too strong for nine-man Robins

 

Rhys Dalling - bagged a hat-trick for Goodwick and missed from the spotPennar Robins 0 – Goodwick United 7

 
Adam Hawkins and Rhys Dalling grabbed a hat-trick each as Goodwick United comfortably despatched of Pennar Robins at Bush Camp.
 
In the 2nd minute Chris O’Sullivan’s Phoenix Lads opened the scoring through Hawkins, eight minutes later Dalling banged in the second as the hosts were on the backfoot.
 
Hawkins added two further goals before the interval to earn him the accolade of a first half treble.
 
Dalling and Dan James added the fifth and sixth respectively, the Robins went down to nine men as Kieran Smith and Phil Thompson both saw red.
 
Dalling missed a late penalty but made amends when he slotted home his side’s six to complete his treble for his teams good day at the office.

Richards bags four goals for Rooks against Tish

Jordan Richards bagged four goals as Carew comfortably beat St Ishmaels at the Recreation Ground.
 
The Rooks are sixth in the table as Tish are tenth, the latter hovering above the relegation zone.
 
The hosts led 3-0 at half time, Zac Rowell opened the scoring, Richards was on target with second also Thomas Powell struck the third.
 
After the break, the Rooks continued to control matters as they scored four further goals without reply.
 
James Hinchliffe fired home the fifth, Richards added three more, one from the spot to delight manager Ceri Brace.
 
Tish had Brennan Devonald sent off late on for a second yellow card incident as the visitors finished the game with ten men.
