Neyland A (135 for 2) beat Neyland B (102 for 2)

 
Neyland A confirmed her superiority over their B team but not before they had been pushed to stop them from getting even closer than they actually did in an entertaining tussle played in a competitive but sportsmanlike manner.
 
The A team’s innings started with a bank as openers Nick Koomen and Patrick Bellerby blitzed 25 off the first over and both sped to 26 and 27 respectively before they retired and talented youngster Kieran Arran settled in well to contribute an unbeaten 25 to maintain the momentum.
 
Gregg Miller (21) and Jack John (24) were both run out seeking late runs and skipper Sean Hannon was not out 8 as the A team set a challenging target.
 
Brad McDermott-Jenkins is a key player in any run chase but was bowled by Patrick Bellerby for only 8 before George Evans (27) and Steve Murray (26) batted well before retiring – and although Paul Miller (13), and Tom Pritchard (13 not out) tried hard to manage the required run rate there were tight bowling spells by Hannon (1 for 15) and Bellerby (1 for 14), allied to the usual tight fielding, that made sure the B team managed to reach three figures but were still well short at the finish.

Neyland A show their batting might

Neyland A (145 for 1) beat Narberth (111 for 4)

 
Neyland A showed their batting might against a young Narberth team as everyone made a significant contribution to their massive 145 for 1 before the runaway league leaders bowled and fielded as tightly as ever to ease home by 34 runs.
 
Only Patrick Bellerby, normally one of the key factors of their ability to score quickly, didn’t bat as well as usual as he was dismissed for only 10 runs, bowled by Loui Davies, before brothers Gregg (28) and Andrew Miller (25) joined Nick Koomen (25) and skipper Sean Hannon (28) as they all reached the statutory retirement total and talented young all-rounder Kieran Arran (24 not out) finished things off in style.
 
They scored 57 runs in their first five overs and added another 88 runs from the second half as they struck four fours and four sixes in the process.
 
Narberth also made a cracking start through Loui Davies and Wil Nicholas and both retired before skipper Jordan Howell was run out for 3 – but they continued their strong play as Lewis Hough chipped in with 28 to also retire.
 
At the half-way stage they had 59 runs but then lost a little impetus as Kyle Williams was run out for a single and Rhodri Dyer was bowled by Arran for a duck – and when Nicholas returned he was run out for 30.
 
As Neyland stepped up the pressure they restricted Narberth to only 52 runs in their final five overs and although Loui Davies ended on an undefeated 45 it was Neyland who were again good value for victory,
 

Llanrhian too strong for depleted Town team

 

Llanrhian (85 for 3) beat Haverfordwest (83 all out)

 
Llanrhian were comfortable winners of their game against Haverfordwest, who were only able to field five players and paid the inevitable price as skipper Dai Davies played a major role with the batting but in the field they were pulverised from the outset as they conceded 25 runs in their first over, with Jon Strawbridge back in his dominant mode for the second-placed side.
 
Davies scored 68 out of The Town’s 83 all out as no-one else was able to manage double figures as Daf Williams, Jack Jones and Karl Davies all returned identical figures of 1 for 16 and skipper Nigel Delany claimed 1 for 26., whilst Llion Williams only conceded 11 runs from his allotted two overs.
 
Then Jon Strawbridge and Daf Williams launched a first-over broadside with three sixes, a four and a three alongside one dot ball! Williams went for 9 runs, caught by Dai Davies off Dan Hopley but Jack Jones belted 25 before they suffered a mini-collapse with ducks for Karl Davies and Kyle Williams before skipper Delaney (9 not out) and Strawbridge (35 not out) saw Llanrhian to another good win with two overs still in hand.
 

Narberth youngsters show their talents

 

Narberth (127 for 3) beat Haverfordwest (86 all out)

 
Narberth rounded off the evening with a  41-run defeat of Haverfordwest after batting first and building a challenging final tally which saw them victorious by a margin of 41 runs.
 
Loui Davies and Wil Nicholas again gave them a good start before Davies was bowled by his namesake Dai for 21 but Nicholas (28), Jordan Howell (25) and Lewis Hough (27) all came and went under the retirement rule.
 
Kyle Williams was run out for 20 and although Rhodri Dyer went cheaply as he was stumped by Jason Stobbs off Johnny White, there was no denying the fact that a depleted Town side would have to bat outstandingly well to achieve a win.
 
But Richard Davies (4) and Dan Hopley (12) were both run out as they managed only 42 runs in their opening five overs but also lost Stobbs (16) and Richard Davies (18) before influential skipper Dai Davies again top scored.
 
Davies reached 31 before he was caught by Jordan Howell to give Kyle Williams, normally keeping wicket but showing he has another string to his cricketing bow, returned fine figures of 2 for 19.
