Tish take the honours after last-ball runs edges them home

Neyland B (106 for 3) lost to St Ishmaels (109 for 0)

Dylan James, batted really well for Neyland BCharlie Welch - runs and a wicket in St Ishmaels winSt Ishmaels won a thriller of a game against Neyland B but the final margin didn’t pay tribute to the latter’s part in the game where they looked slight favourites to take the verdict but Tish old hands Phil Llewellyn, Huw Scriven and Andrew Williams kept their cool in successfully chasing 17 runs off the final over.

Neyland B batted first and openers Lewis Page and Dylan James got them off to a flying start as they both faced only 15 balls - and then Danny Potter and Simon Ellis also had identical cameos despite some steady bowling by Charlie Welch and Andrew Williams.

Then Tish also got off to a flying start through Lewis Rhead and Charlie Welch, who both retired before Llewellyn and Scriven managed to raise the tempo even higher - and when Llewellyn had to retire in that exciting last over, he had just struck a straight four and a three to tie matters up with a ball left.

It meant that Andrew Williams, came to the crease to score the final runs but Tish had been pushed all the way in a game played in an excellent spirit throughout,

St Ishmaels Bowling: Charlie Welch 1-24, Andrew Williams 1-25

Carew close to title after local derby win

Lawrenny (66 all out) lost to Carew (68 for 4) by 2 wickets

Rhys Lewis - Two wickets and runs for CarewJacob Knox -Two cheap wickets for The RooksCarew took another key step towards winning the section silverware at their first attempt as they won their local derby against an equally-young Lawrenny team, reducing the opposition to a disappointing tally and then reaching their target with 16 balls to spare.

Finley Lewis, Will Allen and Rhys Eynon scored the bulk of the Lawrenny runs but Oscar Lewis, Alfie Buckle and Rhydian Eynon could only muster a combined tally of four runs, leaving their innings collapsing from 61 for 2 to 66 all out.

But Lawrenny showed their battling spirit in the field as The Rooks lost Jacob Knox, Corey and Ethan Hall for a combined total of 15 runs and despite a solid knock by Rhys Lewis they were still in a bit of bother at 35 for 4, only just past the half-way mark of the runs needed.

But, luckily for them they had Dan Heaps and George Waters keeping calm and both were still there at the end, despite some useful bowling by Oscar Lewis, Will Allen and the Eynon brothers.

Lawrenny Batting: Finley Lewis 16, Will Allen 14, Rhys Eynon 21, Rhydian Eynon 10
Carew Bowling: Corey Hall 1-15; Jacob Knox 2-7, Rhys Lewis 2-7, Ethan Hall 0-14
Carew Batting: Rhys Lewis 14, Dan Heaps 17*, George Walters 12*
Lawrenny bowling: Will Allen 1-15, Oscar Lewis 1-14, Rhys Eynon 1-11, Rhydian Eynon 1-14

Britton and Kingston seal Herbie success

Pembs Seniors B (71 for 4) lost to Herbrandston B (72 for 2) by 4 wickets

Atticus Kingston - runs and 2 wickets for Herbie BMorgan Britton - more runs and a wicket for HerbieHerbrandston claimed a comfortable win over the Seniors B team as talented young all-rounders Morgan Britton and Atticus Kingston produced the goods with bat and ball, as Jonathan Twigg continued his good form for the Seniors’ second string.

Twigg again retired undefeated and had a measure of support from Mike Williams after Martyn Thomas had departed early, whilst Marc Evans rapped two boundaries as he also reached double figures – but there were two wickets for Kingston and one for Britton as Jack Badham only conceded five runs in his two overs.

Herbie suffered the worst possible start to their response as ace batsman Charlie Malloy was shifted from the very first ball of the innings by Mike Williams – but Morgan Britton was quick to his retirement score and Kingston was marginally quicker to calm things down.

It was left to skipper Johnny Lewis and Jack Badham to knock off the remaining few runs whilst The Seniors B still seek that morale-boosting first win of the indoor campaign.

Pembs Seniors B Batting: Mike Williams 18, Jonathan Twigg 28*, Marc Evans 10
Herbrandston B Bowling: Morgan Britton 1-11, Atticus Kingston 2-10, Jack Badham 0-5
