Brace bags ‘Player of the Month’ award for June

 
The Pembroke County Cricket Club has just announced its ‘Player of the Month’ award for June, 2025 – and the recipient is Pembroke Cricket Club’s all-rounder Ceri Brace, as he fended off a strong challenge from several other nominees.

 
At one time perhaps better-known for his canny slow bowling, he has been moved to open the batting alongside club captain Jack Harries – and a string of half centuries in the second division was the result for this particular month, which started with an innings of 60 at St Ishmaels, followed by 62 at Treleet against his previous club, Carew.

 
His good form was maintained with 84 not out in another home game against Llanrhian, and ended with 55 at Glebelands against Johnston, where he also claimed 2 for 24: but it was his consistent batting which earned him  a June average of exactly 87!
