Alan Brown Cup Semi-Finals – Match reports by Fraser Watson
Skipper Bevan bowls Stackpole into the final
Bosherston and Stackpole (128 for 7) beat Laugharne (121 all out) by 7 runs
Umpires: Neil Thomas and Chris Stapleton.

Skipper Simon Bevan led by example as Bosherston and Stackpole edged into the Alan Brown Cup final with a tense win over Laugharne.
The visitors needed eight for victory from as many balls, with just one wicket left, when Bevan clean bowled Shane Williams to seal victory.
It secured him figures of 5 for 17 off 4.5 overs in the process, as his side defended their earlier total of 128 for 7.
That score owed much to opener Alan Webster, who hit six fours in his 36, and the middle order from Josh Davies (14), Lewys Gibby (20), and Bevan (18).
Laugharne kept things in check though via Carl Smith (2 for 22), James Ingleton (2 for 36), Simon Davies (1 for 20), and Rob Couzens (2 for 33).
Laugharne fight back from early collapse
But their reply then looked over before it started as they slipped to 26 for 4.
Both openers fell to Bevan as Andrew Edwards (8) was trapped lbw after two early boundaries and Ingleton (4) was skittled after a four of his own.
The same bowler continued to wreak havoc as he bowled both Allan Carter (0) and James Devonald (2) - but then Craig Hurst and Callum Collins-Davies rebuilt matters.
Hurst hit 26, a knock which included a four and a maximum, and Davies contributed 18 but wickets continued to fall as Josh Davies (3 for 30) and Paul Oeppen (1 for 35) left Laugharne 101 for 9.
But the final pairing of Simon Davies and Williams ensured a nervy finish as both reached 14, and things were still in the balance when Bevan, who had kept one of his five overs back, brought himself back on to finish the job.
Llanrhian overcome Hundleton as they go for three in a row
Hundleton (80 for 5) lost to Llanrhian (81 for 3)
Umpires: Rob Mathias and Neil Thomas.
Scorers: Mike Price and Jason Cole.

Llanrhian’s hopes of third straight cup win remain alive after overcoming a stubborn Hundleton side.
The hosts made 80 for 5 in their 20 overs, and despite a brief wobble Nigel Delaney’s team got home with seven wickets to spare to set up a repeat of their 2019 final clash with Stackpole.
Home skipper Jon Williams chose to bat on a lively surface but his side lost early wickets as Paul Fox (2) was bowled by Jack Jones, and then Daf Williams removed Stuart McNiffe (9) despite two early fours and then bowled No 3 Ben Adams (4).
For Llanrhian, Daf Williams finished with 2 for 27 and Jones an economical 1 for 9 off five overs.
Jon Williams himself dug in though with Iori Humphreys, the pair putting on 30 before the captain was run out for 11.
Humphreys kept going, however, hitting three fours to reach 30, and was only run out himself off the final ball of the innings after finding support from David Lockyer (11 not out).
Llanrhian defy early wobble
It was Richard Reed and Delaney who then moved the away side to 18 for 0 in three overs but then Reed gave a return catch to Robson Walkey on 11 (two fours) – and the latter proceeded to bowl a double wicket maiden as he had Jack Jones caught behind by Lockyer
.
Ben Jones joined Delaney in allaying any fears of a wobble though as he struck four fours and a six in his 30 before being bowled by McNiffe, with Delaney making an unbeaten 28 (four fours) as Iwan James (7 not out) helped him get things done in the 15
th over.
For Hundleton, Walkey finished as pick of the bowlers with 2 for 33.
It all means The Cows will face Stackpole on Sunday, July 4th in Whitland in what promises to be another intriguing final.
