2025 Alan Brown Cup Semi-Finals - Old rivals meet in Brown Cup Final
Stackpole and The Dock are back in The Final!
There has long been a friendly rivalry between south-county teams Stackpole and Pembroke Dock, which will continue at Whitland on Sunday, 6
th July, as they clash in this popular competition for teams from Division Three downwards, played over two innings apiece and likely to be competitive because both have big hitters in their squads that will play on a splendid pitch provided by Whitland, who are traditional hosts of the competition and provide superb teas and other amenities for all who attend..
The Dock are second in the third division and Stackpole fourth, with both eager to return to the second division at the end of the campaign – and with The Dock gaining a comfortable win over Kilgetty to get there and Stackpole edging home in a last-over thriller where the result was always going to be close against neighbours Hundleton.
Daley father and son take The Dock into the final
Kilgetty 102 for 9 lost to Pembroke Dock (103 for 0) by 10 wickets
Umpires: Steve Williams & Jonathan Willington
Scorers: Nicola Murray & Becky Badham

The father and son duo of Nick and Rhys Daley took Pembroke Dock to victory over Kilgetty to earn the chance of a third win in this competition as the team bowled and fielded well to restrict their opponents to a modest score and then batted together for 12-3 overs to reach their target in only 12-3 overs.
Jack Badham led the Kilgetty batting with 35 runs, supported by Richard Webb (20), Anthony Lewis (15) and Geoff Marsh (14) but no-one was able to set the run-rate on fire as Jamie White (4 for 40), Neil Gregory (2 for 13) and skipper George Smith (2 for 21).
Then the Daley duo was quickly into their stride as son Rhys (still only 18 but having been around for a long time) took on the anchor role to perfection as he reached 25 but was adept at giving dad the strike whenever possible, leaving Nick (who had captained The Dock to their other two final wins) to stroke a six and nine fours on his way to 66 not out and leave The Pater team to look forward to another final.
Six-hit finish as Stackpole edge home in a thriller
Hundleton (150 for 6) lost to Stackpole (155 for 7) by 3 wickets
Umpires: Gareth Brace & Michael Borland
Scorers: Phil Tallett and Steve Williams
Hundleton are bonny battlers who have relished participation in this competition and they set a challenging total for Stackpole through Iori Humphreys (29), skipper Craig Williamson and Steffan Williams, who took them to such a huge tally as he came in at No 6 and belted a quickfire 39 not out that included five sixes from one late over!
But luckily for Stackpole they had already kept a reasonably tight grip on events as their captain, Richard Mackay claimed 3 for 29 and Chris Gibbs picked up 3 for 19. Mackay (14) and Iori Roberts (16) then provided cameos for Stackpole before they launched their ‘big guns’ as John Williams fired a speedy 57, as only he can, with the ball flying to all parts of the ground, despite the efforts of Hughes (3 for 29) and Ben Adams (3 for 24).
Then Josh Davies, who was no slouch either as he showed his array of shots, smashed a big six when only a single was needed, to end the game in style on the very last ball of a fascinating contest!
