Tish grab first league win of the season
St Ishmaels (172 for 5) beat Lawrenny (170 for 9)
Umpires: Steve Blowes & Rob Bellerby
Scorers: Wendy Bradshaw & Malcolm Thomas
Solid batting by Peter Bradshaw, Dan Howells and Andrew Williams helped St Ishmaels gain their first win of the league season as they successfully chased down Lawrenny’s useful tally of 170 for 9.
Lawrenny's score owed much to Steve Lewis as he struck seven fours and two sixes in his undefeated 82 alongside the father and son duo of Ian Jenkins (32) and Brad McDermott-Jenkins (22). Tish skipper Andrew Palmer led by example with 4 for 24 alongside Danny Flynn (1 for 48), Andrew Pawlett (1 for 26), Andrew Williams (2 for 26) and Gareth Cheshire (1 for 24).
Peter Bradshaw had seven fours in his 50 alongside Dan Howells (five boundaries in his score of 41) before Andrew Williams called upon his wealth of experience towards the end in an unbeaten 45 that contained six fours.
Rob Williams (1 for 42), Brad McDermott-Jenkins (2 for 36), Phil Cole (1 for 25) and James Buckle (1 for 25) all tried hard with the ball for Lawrenny but it was Tish who finished on top as they reached their target in 40.1 overs.

Runs galore as Llanrhian hold on for the draw
Narberth (235 for 3) drew with Llanrhian (190 for 8)
Umpires: Les Hastings & John Austin
Scorer: Peter Hughes
There were runs galore on a beautiful batting track at the Lewis Lloyd Ground where Ritchie Adams stroked an unbeaten century as Narberth rattled up another huge score – and Llanrhian responded with some sens
ible batting to secure a deserved draw.
Jordan Howell scored 31 for Narberth before Ritchie Adams and Mike Scale shared an unbroken stand of 106 in which Scale had eight fours and a six in his 59 not out. Adams continued his great early-season form as he eventually reached a deserved three figures, stroking 17 boundaries in his undefeated 109 as Gareth Davies claimed 2 for 32 in the Llanrhian attack.
Narberth struck what could have been a vital blow as they shifted Llanrhian’s ace run-getter Gareth Davies cheaply but Ben Jones (eight fours and two sixes in his 82), Nigel Delaney (33) and Luke Jones (35 not out) all batted well for the visitors.
Ben Hughes (2-45), Matthew Johns (2 for 25), Ian Hughes (3 for 40) and Ollie Cook (1 for 18) were the wicket-takers for Narberth as Llanrhian ended up on a battling 190 for 8.

Carew hold on in tight finish
Haverfordwest (180 all out) drew with Carew (143 for 9)
Umpires: Dave Brandon & John Williams
Scorers: Jayne Cole & Ceri Davies
Carew’s last pair of Rhys Davies and 15 year old keeper Dafydd Bevan held out for the last ten balls of their innings at Haverfordwest to earn them a draw in a match where fortunes ebbed and flowed throughout.
Haverfordwest had a 49 start from Simon Holliday (16) and Jonathan Strawbridge (28) but it took them 18 overs before Tom Davies (2 for 40) and Rhys Davies (3 for 34) intervened and reduced The Town to 67 for 5 before skipper Danny Potter (nine fours in his 57) and Adam James (35) put on 63 together.
Dan Field chipped in with 11 runs as Tim Hicks (2 for 44) and Rob Scourfield (2 for 1) helped Carew restrict The Town to 180 all out with a ball to spare.
But Carew found it hard going as they lurched to 60 for 6 against The Town’s ‘spin twins’ Clive Tucker (3 for 16) and Simon Holliday (1 for 18).
Ian Sefton (25) and Tom Davies (29 not out) were the best of the batting line-up for Carew as Josh Wilment (2 for 43) and Adam James (2 for 34) also bowled well for Haverfordwest but at nine wickets down with ten balls to go it looked like a Town success. But young Bevan stroked two nice fours before Rhys Davies played out a maiden to end on 29 not out and give Carew some welcome draw points.

Neyland stroll to a nine-wicket win
Whitland (96 all out) lost to Neyland (98 for 1)
Umpires: Rob Cousins & Peter Perry
Scorers: Janice Webb & John Laugharne
The match between Whitland and Neyland was expected by most pundits to be close but Neyland g
ot on top from the start and were really good value for their nine-wicket stroll to victory.
Whitland found it hard going as only Paul Davies (28), Dylan Blain (17) and Kevin Pearce (26) managed double figures as Neyland fielded well and had few loose deliveries from Anton John (2 for 19), Patrick Hannon (1 for 27), Nick Kooman (1 for 21) and Nathan Banner, who is currently playing superbly and ended up in this innings with a 5 for 19 haul.
Neyland lost one early wicket to Dan James (1 for 25) but Paul Murray had eight fours in his powerful unbeaten 42 and Ashley Sutton struck seven boundaries in his classy 35 not out as Neyland eased home in just over 15 overs.

Llangwm throw away golden chance
Llangwm (197 for 7) drew with Cresselly (199 for 9)
Umpires: Huw Davies & Dai Morris
Scorers: Janice Brick & Dave Richards
Llangwm conspired to snatch a tense draw from the jaws of victory as they needed just four runs to win from their final over against Cresselly at Pill Parks but could muster only a single.
Hero of the hour for Cresselly was Stefan ‘Boxer’ Jenkins, who bowled the final over and his first five deliveries were all ‘dot balls’ before the Llangwm last pair managed a single off the final ball – but could take a measure of consolation from the fact that they at least made sure that Llangwm didn’t lose.
Phil Williams led his Cresselly team to a convincing score of 199 for 9 at Llangwm as he had top score of 74 (nine fours and a six) and found support from Damian Arthur (33), Simon Cole (27) and Matthew Morgan (23) as Chris Inward (3 for 32) and Andrew Harries (3 for 25) were the pick of the Llangwm bowlers.
It looked all-over a home win after tea as Will Beresford’s 42 (nine fours) and Steve Inward’s 62 (four sixes and four fours) advanced their score to 120 for 1 in 20 overs before Bobby Webb (5 for 35), Simon Cole (3 for 44) and Lyn Richards (1 for 18) pegged them back to that fateful final over.
Also worthy of a mention was the fact that Cresselly had to field with a substitute for 40 overs since a team member had a family illness to go to – and Eleri Williams did a cracking job as she fielded with real enthusiasm and skill!
