Pembroke County Cricket Club’s officials were this week delighted to announce that they have secured a second three-year term from Nicholas Insurance Services of Haverfordwest as the sponsors of the Pembroke County Cricket Leagues.

Again to be known as the ‘Nicholas Insurance Services Pembroke County Cricket Leagues’, the renewal of this partnership is a major boost for cricket in the county to be linked with such a highly respected and best-known independent insurance companies in the county.

Steve is over the moon

Steve Blowes, the Hon Secretary of Pembroke County Cricket Club, said,
“We are over the moon to retain our links with John Nicholas and Brian Hawkins at Nicholas Insurance Services.
“John has long had links with the game through Spittal and Camrose Cricket Club, even to supplying the club with its pitch and changing rooms for a number of years at Scolton Home Farm.
“He was youth organiser for a number of years when the club was known as Spittal Cricket Club and his proudest moment came when Spittal won the Ormond Youth Cup in 1997.”
“Brian Hawkins is best known as my counterpart with football in Pembrokeshire but also plays for Camrose Cricket Club so it is great to have both on board as real followers of our sport right up to international level.”

Long sporting links for Nicholas Insurance

John Nicholas said that he was very happy to renew the link because since the company started in 1983 they have established a long-standing relationship with a number of local sports clubs.
“We are pleased that our sponsorship will help Pembroke County Cricket Club continue with their excellent work in the development of cricket at all levels in our county, especially with regard to the so-vital area of youth development.”
“Our ethos has always been to have ‘Pembrokeshire people servicing Pembrokeshire’.
Brian Hawkins added that as a sporting administrator himself he knew the value of helping sport in the community.
“I love my cricket and I know what it costs to maintain such a high standard. We wish Pembroke County Cricket Club every success over the next three years.”
