Narberth Seconds talented young team completed an undefeated campaign as they were joined by four busloads of supporters on the journey to Parc y Scarlets and came back with the West WRU/Scarlets silverware as reward for winning all their ten matches in the section against very good opposition – and this second trophy for comfortably beating Felinfoel in the Region Cup Final after disposing of Ammanford in a much-harder semi-final.
 
It is rightly some pride for The Otters in all of those games they haven’t conceded a single yellow or red card, including this one against opponents who had a player/coach sent off for allegedly showing violent conduct towards a young Narberth player.
 
Indeed, Narberth are also proud of the fact that this team had 12 players from their starting line-up being 23 or under and looking to play for the club’s first team in the future if they can maintain their current rate of progress.
 
One of them is full back Llew Jones, who opened the scoring with a penalty and after Felinfoel had drawn level with three points from full back Jonathan Cronin grabbed an unconverted try as he used his pace to good effect.
 
Then No 10 Harri Harris sliced through at the posts for Jones to add the extra points before the half time whistle saw The Otters 18-3 in front as reward for some yeoman work up front by No 8 Josh Hamer alongside Owain Hughes and skipper Kyle Williams, with Declan Cole, Tom Clarke and Jac Norcross ensuring a solid scrum platform for Harris and half back partner Jordan James to utilise.
 
Narberth lost Llew Jones but replacement Shane Rossiter started with a bang as he scored their first points of the period with an unconverted try – and then added the conversion when Harris claimed his second score.
 
In their pacy back division, centre Lewis Hough stood out alongside Harris and the tries continued to flow as Rossiter added his second unconverted score, as did winger Ryan Scourfield.
 
With the result already in the bag, coaches James Merriman and Matthew Davies used their considerable bench and Harvey Jones came on at No 8 and scored the eighth try, converted by Rossiter, to set the seal on a terrific day and season, and team manager Bill Ridge told PembrokeshireSport.co.uk,
