Emlyn ease home after tight first half
Newcastle Emlyn 38 - Crymych 12
Newcastle Emlyn completed the double over nearest neighbours Crymych as they ran in six tries, five of them in the second half after The Preseli Men had held them to a 7-5 interval lead at Dol Wiber – but then, as has happened so often this season, the visitors found it tough to maintain that concerted rivalry, and paid the inevitable price,
The scoreline was almost identical because Emlyn had won 35-12 at Parc Lloyd Thomas and they definitely raised their tempo in that second period to finish with tries from Jac Williams, Noah Harries (2), Llew Morgan (2), Emrys Davies, with full back Shaun Leonard converting four of them for good measure.
For Crymych, it was livewire hooker Lee Griffiths who scored their first tree, converted by Tomos Davies, whilst youth team scrum half, one of five youngsters in their squad, grabbed their second as he spotted a small gap in the Emlyn defence and snipdd through as reward for his half-back play alongside skipper Daf Phillips.

Division One (West):
Saints stun jaded Seasiders
Tenby United 7 - St Clears 25
St Clears produced one of their best performances of the season as they gained revenge for a 35-8 home loss to Tenby United by upsetting the odds at Heywood Lane and were praised by home coach Jonathan Evans for their approach to the game against his team’s below-par display.
In sharp contrast, Saints’ secretary Ian Thomas told PembrokeshireSport.co.uk how hard the players and coaching staff had worked and this was their reward in their penultimate match.
The Saints were already 17-7 ahead at half time and prevented The Seasiders from getting back into contention in the second period, as they have done several times this season, so that they were restricted to a try by Dom Colman which Lloyd Thomas converted. Top performers for Tenby in a lacklustre effort were back rowers Josh Hamer and Jesse James
For The Saints, their pack were excellent ball winners for half backs Sion Evans and Che Thomas to utilise, with tries scored by No 8 Griff Owen (2) and flanker Callum Evans, with No 10 Thomas contributing 10 points from two conversions and two penalties.
This defeat means that Tenby United need a point to finish second against champions-elect Burry Port in their final game, but for the second season in succession just miss out on promotion to The Championship.
Tenby United: Geraint Jones: Gwion Jones; Connar Kier; Tom Edmonds; Matthew Lewis: Lloyd Thomas; Dai Jones: Jack Davies; Jack Brown; Ethan Morgan: Tom Barrass; Alex Jenkins (Capt): Josh Hamer; Jesse James; Dom Colman.

St Clears: 1 Leo Strazeck 2. Dafydd Milward 3. Alun Davies 4. Mark Harris 5. Tom Williams (Capt) 6. Calum Evans 7. Gruff Owen 8. Tom Mason 9. Sion Evans 10. Ché Thomas 11. Oli Bujega 12. Sam Miles 13. Dan Griffiths 14. Jac Vaughan 15. Dafydd Rees
Replacements: Trei James; Tristan Jones; Will Jones; Ianto Davies; Gethin Lewis.
Division Two (West):
Seagulls shot down by classy Athletic
Fishguard & Goodwick 14 - Carmarthen Athletic 66

Fishguard & Goodwick found it hard going against top of the table Carmarthen Athletic, whose big win at The Moors saw them win all 16 matches, including a 23-0 home win against The Seagulls, to stand 19 points clear of also-promoted Aberaeron.
The writing was on the wall for a depleted Fishguard side as The Athletic’s ball-winning pack allowed the slick handling from their backs to come into play – and they raced into a 26-0 lead through tries by scrum half Tom Jones, outside half Deian Morgan (2) and replacement Joel Rees-Ellis, three of them converted by full back Jax Williams.
The Seagulls managed to get on the scoresheet just before the interval through the combined efforts of their two best players when a half-break by skipper Rhys Lewis found co-back-rower Sion Colella on hand to take the scoring pass before Kial Keane converted to make the interval score 26-7 in favour of the visitors.
Colella also added a second score, again converted by Keane as Haverfordwest youngsters Ioan Hawkridge-Jones and Logun Young played on permit at the back and had the taste of rugby in a higher section – but there was no stopping the Athletic as further tries came from winger Morgan Morse No 10 Morgan, skipper and prop Richard Davies, full back Williams, centre Benji Thomas and replacement Gethin Williams.
Zak Williams converted most of them before skipper Davies landed the last from in front of the posts to give his side a perfect record and leave The Seagulls in seventh of nine teams – but 21 points ahead of the team below them!
Fishguard & Goodwick: Dan Evans: Ioan Hawkridge-Jones; Logun Young; Dec Thomas; Ed Rathbone; Kial Keane; Max Jones: Liam Wilkes; Will Robinson; Will Delaney: Cai Llewellyn; Osian Rowe: Jack Richards; Sion Colella; Rhys Lewis (Capt).
Replacements: Teifion Owen; Gwil Evans; Griff Williams; Luke Marshall.
Division Three (West):
Llandeilo complete eight-day double
Llandeilo 66 - Neyland 10

Neyland travelled to take on fourth-placed Llandeilo after losing to them by 73-7 just eight days previously – but deserve every credit for again fulfilling the fixture after losing so many players to injury or work commitments that they had to start with youth coach Mark James at prop and another veteran Andrew Slark at second row and another 40+ veteran returning on the wing.
Throw in a couple of players called up to make a first-team debut and it explains why The All Blacks will be glad to complete their season after entertaining probable divisional champs New Dock Stars on Wednesday and still have to play at third-placed Tumble three days later!
Coach Steve Hamer and team manager Peter Davies were understandably eager to praise their makeshift squad’s efforts, with their only points coming from a first-half penalty by Rio Phillips and a try later on by No 8 Ben Williams, which Phillips converted.
The Llandeilo tries came from Jac Davies, Tony Trickett, John Haynes (3), Owain Charles (3), Owen Thomas and Harri Morgan, with Ioan Thomas slotting seven conversions.
Neyland: Oli Rothero: Josh Watts; Matthew Coles; Shane Phillips; Delme Bateman: Rio Phillips; Owen Hamer: Mark James; Gareth Jones; Seb Mackintosh: Mark Rozblat; Andrew Slark: Jasper Endean; George Williams (Capt); George Williams.
Replacements: Asha Gledhill; Mason Kerrison; Korey Arran.
Mariners complete high-scoring double over basement battlers
Milford Haven 43 - Narberth Athletic 0
Milford Haven’s run of good form at the end of the season continued as their clear-cut victory at home to Narberth Athletic saw them move into fifth place in the table after a disappointing start where they played so few games, running in seven tries whilst keeping their own line intact.
The Mariners’ pack has developed into a formidable unit, with the front row of Ben Jenkins, Arron Davies and Arron Davies ensuring a rock-solid base and with the back row of Jordan Palmer, Ieuan Davies and especially No 8 Zac Davies a real ball-winning unit, assisted by Liam Brown and Dylan Morgan on this occasion,
Half backs Dan McClelland and Efan Morgan thrive on their possession and with the likes of Robbie Jones, James Williams, Owyn Griffiths, James Trueman and skipper Dan Jenkins always posing a threat the tries came from centre Griffiths and Zak Davies early on to set the pattern followed by McClelland, Mayne, skipper Jenkins, full back Jones and second row Liam Brown.
James Trueman laded four conversions to complete The Mariners’ points glut and coach Zac France-Miller was understandably delighted afterwards as he praised their recent efforts in training and commitment to The Mariners’ cause,
Milford Haven: Robbie Jones: James Trueman; Owyn Griffiths; Dan Jenkins (Capt); James Williams: Efan Morgan; Dan McClelland: Ben Jenkins; Aaron Davies; Aaron Mayne: Liam Brown; Dylan Morgan: Jordan Palmer; Ieuan Davies; Zac Davies.
Replacements: Josh Palmer; Ollie Warlow; Ethan Aldred; Jack Roberts; Aaron James.
