Championship Division (West):
Aber run riot in second half
Aberystwyth 43 - Crymych 12

The very strong winds at Aberystwyth played a huge part in their home match against Crymych as the host club were trailing 12-5 at half time but feeling they had done a good job because they had second use of the elements – and that is just how it turned out because the Mid Walians half backs Charles Thomas and Tommy Sandford used the power of their pack to launch a series of raids that earned them 48 points without conceding any.
To be fair to The Preseli Men, they battled hard and in that first half they claimed good tries by Tomos Phillips and Lee Griffiths as reward for the likes of Rhys Richard, Matthew and Luke Freebury, Llyr Davies and Trystan Griffiths – with No 8 Lee Tuck responding for Aber from a close range drive.
In the second half it was all Aber as tries came thick and fast from flanker Lewis Ellis-Jones, winger Ben Lloyd-Jones (2), centre Jac Jones (2), prop Iestyn Thomas, scum half Charles Thomas and full back Dylan Benjamin. Throw in four conversions by Benjamin and it was very much one-way traffic as Aber celebrated with a seventh win in 13 matches and a respectable fifth place in the table.
Aberystwyth: Dylan Benjamin: Ben Jones; Jac Jones; Carwyn Evans; Dafydd Llyr Hywel: Tommy Sandford; Charles Thomas: Osian Bebb-Worrall; Iestyn Thomas; Dylan Jones: Dorian Jones; Bryn Jones: Lewis Ellis-Jones; Sion Evans; Lee Tuck.

Division Two (West)
Seagulls stun table toppers
Pontarddulais 12 - Fishguard & Goodwick 36

Fishguard and Goodwick gained revenge for a 22-44 defeat at home to section leaders Pontarddulais but gained ample revenge as they made the journey to The Bont and knocked their opponents off the top of the table with a terrific team performance as their opponents were overtaken by Loughor, who gained a convincing win against Whitland.
The Seagulls were already 12-7 ahead at half time and The Bont grabbed their second try, this time unconverted in the second period – but The Seagulls, boosted by the return of Jac Delaney on permit from Narberth, had great ball-winning from Bryn Thomas, Ifan Evans and Osian Rowe alongside Jack D and outstanding skipper Rhys Lewis. The front row of Will Delaney, Will Robinson and Iwan McVeigh ensured a solid scrum, and with scrum half Max Jones calling the shots as the visitors ran in six tries, three of them converted by centre Dan Cleary, who was also one of the try scorers.
Joss Lerwill made a promising return to action as he linked well with the likes of Dec Thomas, Jack Richards, Sion Colella and Dan Evans, and tries came at regular intervals via Lerwill, Lewis, Rowe, McVeigh, Cleary and Thomas so the Seagulls also pouched a welcome bonus point from a great win as the players off the bench also made useful contributions.
Fishguard & Goodwick: Dan Evans: Jack Richards; Dec Thomas; Dan Cleary; Sion Colella; Joss Lerwill; Max Jones: Will Delaney; Will Robinson; Iwan McVeigh: Osian Rowe, Ifan Evans: Bryn Thomas; Jac Delaney; Rhys Lewis (Capt).
Replacements: Liam Wilkes; Dave Pugh, Cai Llewellyn; Sion Perkins, Harrison Richards.
Borderers well-beaten by promotion candidates
Loughor 33 - Whitland 0
Loughor climbed to the top of the section table as a result of this clear-cut win over Whitland to complete the double since they had already won 36-10 at Parc Llwyn Ty Gwyn.
The Borderers showed plenty of grit but Loughor had that vital cutting age that saw them lead 12-0 at half rim before adding another 21 unanswered points after the break, despite some solid graft from the likes of Shane Clark, Matt Driver and skipper Ceiron Evans, with talented young flanker Jesse James, playing on permit from Tenby United, also playing well alongside Lucas Dance and Jamie Thomas.
Lewis Edwards and Oscar Scott scored Loughor’s first half tries, one converted by Tom Davies, who also converted all three second-half tries by Kyle Tucker, Dewi Rake and Ethan Bowen, all converted by ace kicker Tom Davies.
Whitland: Shane Rossiter: Lucas Dance; Harry Fuller; Jac Vaughan; Tom Day: Jamie Thomas; Gareth Davies: Shane Clarke; Matt Driver; Ceiron Evans (Capt): Gavin Smith; Trystan Bowen: Marc Mills; Jesse James; Andrew Jenkins.
Replacements: Alan Proctor; Osian Thomas; Dafydd Walters; Tomos Hughes; Gethin Scourfield.
Division Four (West) A:
Wasps score more tries but miss all their conversions
Llanybydder 30 - Llangwm 25

Llanybydder gained their first win of the season after nine defeats, including a 43-24 reverse at Pill Parks, with Llangwm reflecting on the fact that they outscored Llan by tries to four but missed all five conversions, at least two that weren’t absolutely wide out!
A measure of how tough it is for a village club like Llangwm is the fact that they had six 18-year-olds playing, with prop Callum Jenkins a real veteran at 23 and joined by centre Joe Johns, who played well in the three-quarter as half backs George James and Alfie Elrick tried hard to keep their pack moving forward – but they did have the consolation of two bonus points for their considerable efforts.
The Wasps were ahead until the final quarter as they had tries by winger Rhydian Jones (2), Stephen Brown, hooker Phil Llewellyn and Andrew Edwards.
But with Osian Roberts in control at the back for Llan as he also slotted two conversions and two penalties, the second a late three points from half way, as well as a try. They also had a bonus point from further tries by Carwyn Blayney, Stepen Bonsall, Steffan Thomas.
Llangwm: Ollie Gerson: Rhydian Jones; Owain Jones; Yale Grice; Joe Johns: George James; Alfie Elrick: Dan Murphy; Phil Llewellyn; Callum Jenkins: Jason Mock; Jake Thomas: Dylan Rowles; Seth Hughes; Morgan Rees.
Replacements: Matthew Rees; Liam Barber; Ryan Cole; Stephen Brown; Andrew Edwards.
WRU Division Four Cup:
Seasiders Reserves well beaten up front
Tenby United Athletic 0 - Bonymaen Athletic 24

Tenby United Athletic bowed out of their WRU divisional cup as they encountered a very strong opposition from Bonymaen who controlled the forward exchanges so well and really limited their Tenby counterparts to few chances to get on top in a match watched by a big crowd at Heywood Lane, considering the foul weather.
Bonymaen established a 17-0 lead in the opening quarter and from then on it was hard work for the Seasiders’ Seconds, despite the efforts of half backs Harry Rossiter and Fletcher Broadhurst, who put down strong claims for their man of the match with his all-round play in adversity.
Alan Turner, Freddie Derrick and John Hyndman scored tries for the visitors in that opening pressure period, one converted by Turner – and it was Jack Glover who added a fourth try in the second period, this time converted by Andrew Couzens.
For The Seasiders, skipper Jack Gooding tried hard to keep his team going, with support from Lewis Catt Rob Ayers and the rest but this was something of a learning curve for the home side against a team which, on this performance, must be one of the favourites to take the silverware.
Tenby United Athletic: Keanu Williams: Darcy Langston; Ben Pugh; Jack Gooding (Capt); Kodi Bratcher: Harry Rossiter; Fletcher Broadhurst: Rob Clark; Andrew John; George Osborn: Rhys Grigg; Lewis Catt: Cian Knights; Jake Henson; Liam Pugh.
Replacements: Nick Guymer; Wyndam Williams; Rob Ayers; Cal Earland; Cemlyn Bolton; Dylan Johns.
