Otters so strong in second half
Narberth 43 - Ystalyfera 8

Narberth produced a powerful second half performance against Ystalyfera with 31 unanswered points to wipe out the memory of a disappointing 21-19 defeat in the reverse match and showed their ability to produce quality rugby at this high level.
The Otters had started the game well as Lewys Gibby maintained his terrific recent form with an early try that was converted by Nick Gale.
But the visitors knocked The Otters out of their stride as they responded with a penalty from full back Sam Conway and an unconverted try by No 8 Justin Scott – but near the end of the half Roy Osborn, another current force playing at No 8 in their pack added an unconverted try to nudge Narberth into a 12-8 interval lead.
But whatever Sean Gale said at the interval it certainly worked because as their pack raised the tempo so the points came at regular intervals. Ashley Sutton sped over, converted by Gale, before Osborne produced his second unconverted try as part of his winning another man of the match award.
Then Harvey Jones showed his immense promise in the centre with his first try in senior colours for The Otters, followed by another from talented youngster in Ilan Phillips, converted by Gale, and then another by Lewys Gibby to complete an impressive second-half performance that included excellent defence late on when they were reduced to only 13 men.

Whitland gained their expected win over Whitland that completed a local-derby double since they had already beaten The Borderers by 23-13 at Parc Llwyn Ty Gwyn but were not only able to score seven tries with their attacking flair but also kept a clean score sheet!
The Preseli Men led 15-0 at half time with unconverted tries by half back Dylan Phillips, hooker Lee Griffiths and flanker Llyr Davies as Whitland’s Cian Williams, Trystan Rees and Johnny Thomas tried hard to stem the flow alongside Callum Evans, Chris Marks, Dan Bennett and skipper Benji Kirk up front.
But Crymych added four more tries in an excellent second-half performance from centre Gethin Gibby, second row Rhys ‘Beaky’ Davies, centre Tomos Phillips and winger Ned Bennett, three of them converted by full back Adam Phillips.

Division Two (West):
Dan dives in for his first try
Pontyberem 12 - Tenby United 36

Tenby United’s hard-working prop Dan Allen was the toast of the players and supporters at Pontyberem as he crashed over to score his first try in 107 games – and commented afterwards,
“I’m always too busy setting them up for others to grab the glory!”
But it was typical of the way that The Seasiders are enjoying their rugby as they moved into second spot in the table after other results went their way, and completed the double over the basement battlers they had already beaten 49-0 at Heywood Lane.
Allen crossed in the corner and No 10 Lloyd Thomas added the difficult conversion, as he did when No 8 Jake Roberts crossed from close range – and when quick hands by The Seasiders’ backs put Luke Waygood under the posts the inevitable Thomas conversion put his side 21-0 ahead, and seemingly on their way to at least matching their previous won over Ponty.

But the homesters battled back with a try on half time from centre Corey Hardy, converted by Dom Sauro – and added an unconverted second try midway through the second half by winger Luke Williams after Tenby had made sure there was no chance of a come-back with more points.
First to score after the oranges was Jack Broadhurst, who came on as a replacement and smashed his way through for a try after picking up at a scrum and Ponty grabbed their second score when The Seasiders lost second rowers Tom Barrass and skipper Luke Dedman for ten minutes apiece.
Lloyd Thomas landed a penalty to settle The Seasiders down again and from the final move of the match, which started inside their own 22 before excellent centre Max Brindley finished the move of the match off and Lloyd Thomas converted to take The Seasiders to a vital home tussle against fellow promotion hopefuls Nantgaredig on Saturday.
Tenby United: Gwion Jones: Ryan Bolton; Luke Waygood; Max Brindley; Jack Gooding: Lloyd Thomas; Cam Broadhurst: Wes Bonser; Dan Allen; Rob Luly: Tom Barrass; Luke Dedman (Capt): Will Swales; Jordan Evans; Jake Roberts.
Replacements: Dan Colley; Ethan Morgan; Liam Pugh; Jack Broadhurst; Harry Rossiter.
Travelling reserve: Jake Henson.
Davies dives in for last-gasp try and Trueman adds the vital extras
Milford Haven 31 - Loughor 29

Wingers Ieuan Davies and James Trueman were the heroes of the hour at The Observatory as the Davies dived over from the last move of the game against Loughor to haul his team level at 29-apiece and then Trueman held his nerve to slot the conversion and give The Mariners victory in an entertaining clash where the lead changed hands several times.
Loughor led 18-17 at half time in this topsy-turvy clash and they at least had the consolation ofa bonus point as they came so close but could only muster three tries from outside half Lewis Edwards, centre Brad Owen and winger Derek Wake, alongside four penalties and a conversion by outside half Ryan Davies.
Dean McSparron led The Mariners’ scoring with two tries as he sniped over from his scrum half berth and outstanding No 8 Zac France-Miller was again on the try sheet as centres Dan Birch, Steve Martin and outside half Dan McClelland caught the eye alongside skipper Lee Riley, plus Ethan Aldred, Ben Groves and Ben Jenkins up front in helping Milford Haven to a welcome fourth victory of the season.
Milford Haven: Lee Riley: Ieuan Davies: Dan Birch; Steve Martin; James Trueman: Danny McClelland; Dean McSparron: Ben Jenkins; Dylan Evans; Jimmy Buirds: Jay Goodall; Zac Davies: Ethan Aldred; Ben Groves; Zac France-Miller.
Replacements: Iestyn Howells; Luke Ryan; Rhys Davies; Scott Buirds; James Sheen.
Seagulls suffer more travel sickness
Burry Port 33 - Fishguard & Goodwick 14

Fishguard and Goodwick travelled to Burry Port with some players unavailable and paid the inevitable price despite a battling display by their entire squad – although their cause wasn’t helped by losing influential skipper Chris Shousha after only ten minutes with a knee injury.
And The Seagulls made their customary slow start as Burry Port grabbed tries from Jack Daniels and Lewis Eller, both converted by Daniels before Liam Wilkes responded with a Fishguard try as he battled hard at prop instead of his usual hooker berth, converted by centre James Griffiths.
Griffiths also added the extras to The Seagulls’ second half score by Sion Colella and others who caught the eye, alongside experienced backs Jake Jenkins and James Griffiths, were full back Creegan Foot, hooker Will Lewis, normally a flanker, and replacement back-rower Jack Phillips, on for skipper Shousha and battling away on his debut.
Burry Port added other tries by Will Thomas and Daniel, as they picked up a bonus point but The Seagulls had nothing to show, in terms of points, for a difficult tussle.
Fishguard & Goodwick: Creegan Foot: Dan Cleary; James Griffiths; Sion Rowlands; Dylan Scott: Jake Jenkins; Kai Bailey: Liam Wilkes; Will Lewis; Iwan McVeigh: Gwilym Evans; Osian Rowe: Cai Llewelyn; Sion Colella; Chris Shousha (Capt).

Division Three (West) A:
Saints claim deserved Dock double
Pembroke Dock Harlequins 7 - St Davids 33

St Davids coach Jack Dudley had been unwell with a virus in midweek but have received a boost with the performance of his squad at Bierspool as they outplayed Pembroke Dock Harlequins in scoring five tries to one as they earned a bonus point as well as the double, having narrowly beaten The Quins by 12-10 at home.
Nippy Scrum half Zac Morgan opened The Saints’ scoring and was followed by No 8 Tommy Reynolds, and skipper Nathan Foster, back to his best in the back row, all three converted by full back Adam Phillips.
The Quins did rally with a good try by No 10 Euan McDonald, converted by half-back partner Morgan Rogers, but The Saints resumed control up front as hard-working second row James Goldsmith went over in the corner to earn the bonus point before replacement Bob Froy scored his second try in successive matches and Phillips converted.

Laugharne look good in closing stages
Neyland 0 - Laugharne 31
Neyland had produced one of their better performances of the season when they lost 23-22 to Laugharne at Wooford Park but they were unable to repeat that sort of form at The Athletic Ground, as the visitors used their powerful pack and pacy back division to score five tries and collect a bonus point.
But The All Blacks are bonny battlers and were still only 12 points adrift in the final quarter but then they lost their way when they were temporarily reduced to 13 men and Laugharne added three more tries to give a margin of victory that belied Neyland’s part in an absorbing clash.
Leading the way for the visitors with two tries was winger Thomas Thomas, known to his team-mates as ‘Tom Tom’, alongside others from Tomos Davies, Rhys Davies and Tom Jameson, who also kicked three conversions.
For Neyland, Mark James did well to complete 80 minutes in the unaccustomed role of prop, with brothers Iestyn and Owain Evans, plus prop Luke Griffiths-Dawes, led the way up front and Ollie Rothero looked useful at outside half as partner to Owen Hamer.
Neyland: Patrick Bellerby: Jack Richards; Adam Peel; George Evan; Ben Millward: Ollie Rothero; Owen Hamer: Luke Griffiths-Dawes; Alex Swales; Mark James: Chris Busby; Iestyn Evans: Dan Hart; Owain Evans (Capt); George Williams.
Replacements: Richard Jones; Andrew Slark; George Geoghegan; Jasper Endean.
St Clears stay in the promotion places
St Clears 33 - Cardigan 7

St Clears maintained their quest for the section silverware with a comfortable bonus-point home win over Cardigan but there was a small measure of comfort for The Teifisiders as they refused to submit after a disappointing display where they trailed by 33 points at the interval.
But they played much better in the second half as experienced forwards Andrew Fletcher and Tom Taylor led by example as they not only halted The Saints’ scoring but grabbed the only points with a good try by inside centre Jac Davies which was converted by No 10 Llyr Jones.
Wingers Jon Gosling and Liam Rogers got on the home scoresheet as they sped through for the first and last tries, with others from centre Rhodri Jones, scrum half and skipper Jac Howells, plus second row Tom Williams, with centre Dan Griffiths landing four out of five conversions.
Cardigan: Rhun Phillips: Iwan John; Jac Davies; Emyr Harries; Hedd James: Llyr Jones (Capt); Ben Rogers: Andrew Jones; Luke Palmer Davies; Andrew Fletcher: Luke Jones; Sion Phillips: Rhodri Parry Jones; Geraint Williams; Tom Taylor.
Replacements: Will Brice; Ben Hughes; Jackson Tucker-Lynch; Rhodri Davies; Jack Taylor.
Wasps gain revenge win
Llangwm 25 - Llanybydder 19
Llangwm gained ample revenge for a 31-10 defeat when they met Llanybydder in an away match earlier in the season as they battled all the way at Pill Parks to claim a 25-19 success that takes them out of the bottom two in the table as they leap-frog their opponents into tenth place.
Leading the way for The Wasps in terms of tries were scrum half Josh Richards, hooker Phil Llewelyn and centre Matthew Hughes, alongside two conversions and two penalties from outside half Kieran Owen.
Also catching the eye for Llangwm in an excellent all-round performance were skipper Ieuan Power, Dave Reynolds, Matthew Rees and Ian Griffiths, with Callum Jenkins giving his usual 100% when he joined the fray, whilst Jack Roberts Yale Grice and Dylan Philpott also covered well at the back.
Llangwm: Dylan Philpott: Dan Ridge; Matthew Hughes; Yale Grice; Jack Roberts: Kieran Owen; Josh Richards: Ieuan Power; Phil Llewelyn; Andrew Millward: Matthew Rees; Dave Reynolds: Dan Woodward; Ian Griffiths; Owain Jones.
