Haverfordwest County twice took the lead, but at the final whistle had to be content with a draw against Gwent based Goytre.

The visitors totally controlled territory and possession for much of the first half, and they deservedly took the lead in the 27th minute when skipper Sean Pemberton, playing as a striker powerfully headed home Elliot Scotcher’s superb cross.

Bluebirds manager Wayne Jones felt happy with the slender 1-0 lead at half time.

However, six minutes after the break and Goytre equalised as the visitors’ defence failed to clear their lines and Daniel MacDonald slotted his low shot into the far corner.

Scott Thomas and Steff Williams came on to freshen things up for the Bluebirds.

Haverfordwest County regained the lead in the 78th minute, excellent work by defender Harri Rowe and Pemberton set-up substitute Steff Williams who tucked his shot into the back of the net.

The visitors looked as if they had the three points in the bag, but two minutes from the end former Bluebird Kaid Mohammed equalised getting on the end of a poor clearance and placing his shot past Kyle Stuart.

Next Tuesday, Haverfordwest County travel to league leaders Penybont, and next Saturday entertain Port Talbot Town at the Conygar Bridge Meadow Stadium, 2.30pm kick off.

Haverfordwest County: Kyle Stuart; Jake Merry; Harri Rowe; Sean Pemberton (Captain); Tim Hicks; Elliot Scotcher; Tom Dyson; Ricky Watts; Elliot Thomas; Jack Wilson; Ben Fawcett. Substitutes: Scott Thomas; Steff Williams; Fraser Finlay; Steve Hall.
