Luke Borrelli scored for the Bluebirds who once again tasted defeat
Aberystwyth Town 3 - Haverfordwest County 1
Haverfordwest County slipped to another disappointing defeat, this time at the hands of Aberystwyth Town at Park Avenue on Friday evening.
The visitors opened the scoring in the sixth minute when man of the match Craig Williams fired a low shot past Craig Morris.
However, Aber’s lead was short lived as Luke Borrelli equalised in the 10th minute, the striker burying a low shot in the far corner.
The visitors would have been pleased as they held Aber 1-1 at half time, but things didn't go to plan for the visitors in the second period.
Venables lob
In the second half the Bluebirds were put under pressure and they finally cracked on the hour mark when Chris Venables spotted keeper Morris off his line and he duly lobbed the keeper.
The Black and Greens put the result beyond doubt when they added a third goal in the 70th minute. A dangerous corner saw Aber’s Rhys Griffiths headed goal bound only for Sean Pemberton to header into his own net.
