Haverfordwest County missed out on going top of the table after leaking a late equaliser at Cambrian & Clydach.

Steffan Davies scored his first goal for the Bluebirds, two minutes after half time he struck that put the visitors in the ascendency.

Striker Jordan Follows should have added a second but Cambrian’s keeper pulled off a superb stop to deny the striker from a one-on-one.

Cambrian & Clydach equalised in the 85th minute through Dan Lever to earn a draw, the visitors were reduced to ten men when Declan Carroll picked up a second caution in the 88th minute.

Penalty denied

The Bluebirds felt hard done by in the 89th minute as Steffan Davies was brought down inside the box and the referee waved play on, much to the frustration of the Bluebirds’ camp.

“I feel absolutely gutted that we didn’t win,” said Haverfordwest County manager Wayne Jones.  “We had a definite penalty in my eyes not given, Steff was tripped up it was a stone wall decision.”
