Bluebirds draw to keep Welsh Premier dream alive
Cambrian & Clydach 1 - Haverfordwest County 1
Haverfordwest County’s promotion hopes were dented after picking up a draw at Cambrian & Clydach.
The Bluebirds only have two games left and are currently sitting in fourth in the table behind leaders West End, Cambrian & Clydach and Taffs Well.
Slim promotion chances
The Bluebirds are seven points behind leaders and cannot win the title, but they could still clinch promotion to the Welsh Premier if they secure second spot with two matches to go.
In a scrappy affair the homesters took the lead in the tenth minute when striker Jason Bertorelli fired a low shot past goalkeeper Peter Blain, and that’s how it stood at half time.
Morgans equalised
The visitors equalised in the 70th minute when substitute Rob Morgans fired home from inside the area.
On Tuesday night the Bluebirds travel to ninth placed Pontardawe Town, in a match that really have to win if they are to keep their slim promotion hopes alive.
Haverfordwest County: Peter Blain; Ricky Watts; Antonio Facciuto; Lee Bevan; Phil Cattlin; Ritchie Lewis; Sean Pemberton; Chris O’Sullivan; Owen James; Jack Christopher; Steffan Williams. Substitutes: Nicky Woodrow; Adam Raymond; Rob Morgans.
