West Wales Women’s and Girls’ Football Festival

(Played at Penygaer Playing Fields, Llanelli)

Camrose Ladies enjoyed a day to remember in winning the Senior Section competition as the West Wales Women’s and Girls’ and Pembrokeshire Girls’ League, with support from the Welsh Football Trust and West Wales FA, recently hosted a first-ever Women’s and Girls’ football festival at Penygaer Playing Fields, Llanelli.
Several Pembrokeshire clubs entered, including Camrose, Narberth, Johnston, Tenby and Fishguard Sports - and the event was launched by Swansea City and Newcastle Emlyn Ladies playing an exhibition match, both of whom play in the Welsh Premier Women’s League. Newcastle Emlyn Ladies were victorious by two goals to one and eventually played some of the senior teams in the competition on a friendly basis.
