Man of the match Will Haworth grabbed a goal in each half which helped Goodwick United to victory against division two Milford United at Marble Hall which was in good condition considering the awful weather.
Goodwick manager Nigel Delaney was happy that his team got the job done and they’re in the hat for the last sixteen of this prestigious competition.
The Phoenix Lads opened the scoring early as Tom Jago’s cross from the right was met inside the box by Haworth who calmly side-footed past Robins’ goalkeeper Charlie Malloy.
The visitors held a slender one goal cushion at the break but they didn’t add the second until the 74
th minute when they were awarded a penalty after Jago was up ended inside the box which allowed Rhys Jones who made no mistake with the resultant spot kick.
Two minutes from normal time Haworth scored a brilliant solo effort for his side’s third, the wide-sided midfielder picked up a stray ball inside his own half before he raced clear and finished with an impressive 25 yard shot to complete the scoring.
