Welsh Schools Weightlifting Championships
Results from the recent Welsh Schools Weightlifting Championships –at SAW Cymru in Haverfordwest
 
 
Nine talented teenagers from the Strength Academy Wales, Haverfordwest, took part in the recent Welsh Schools’ Championships and on a hugely successful day for the club there were seven gold medals and a string of personal best performances.
 

Their results were as follows:

 
 Freddy Christopher Barnes  year 10, 50kg BodyWeight – Gold
 
Chloe Hood year 10 63kg B/W – Gold
 
Niamh Roach year 11 58kgWelsh Schools Weightlifting Championships B/W – Gold
 
Milly Lacey year 13 63kg B/W – Gold
 
Louis Thomas year 11 62kg B/W – Gold – First competition back for Louis after breaking his leg. He put on a great performance, fantastic to have him back competing for Team SAW
 
Drew Cunningham year 11 69kg B/W 4th Place
 
Joshua Yau year 11 69kg B/W 3rd Place
 
James Hart year 11 77kg B/W – Gold
 
Alex John year 11 94kg B/W – Gold

Chloe Hood will be competing in the British Age groups at the end of February with the aim of retaining her title and breaking more Welsh records
 Welsh Schools Weightlifting Championships
Alex John, James Hart, Louis Thomas, Niamh Roach and Chloe Hood will be competing in the British Youth Championships at the end of May.
 
All members of Team SAW Weightlifting will compete in forthcoming Weightlifting Wales lifting league matches.
