Vikings suffer West Wales Cup semis heartache at hands of Seven Sisters
West Wales Intermediate Cup – semi-final
Hakin United 1 – Seven Sisters Onllwyn 2

Ten-man Hakin United suffered West Wales Intermediate Cup heartache as they lost against Seven Sisters at Richmond Park.
The team from Neath and District who play in the West Wales Premier came from behind to stun the Vikings.
Ben Aldred gave the Pembrokeshire team the lead, but the Neath outfit hit back with goals from Adam Campbell and teenager Steffan Douglas penalty sealed their fate.
Vikings manager Scott Davies came into this important tie without their top scorer Shane Walsh who served a one match ban, but there was good news that instrumental midfielder Ben Aldred returned from injury to the starting line-up.
In a tight first half it was the Vikings who broke the deadlock as Camron Thomas’ cross feel kindly for Aldred to find the back of the net, that solitary goal gave the Vikings a one-goal cushion at the break.
Four minutes after the interval Seven Sisters equalised as skipper Jonathan Douglas set-up Adam Campbell who made no mistake inside the box.
Ten minutes later the Neath outfit were awarded a penalty, up stepped 19-year-old Steffan Jenkins who confidently fired past Sam Franklin.
The Vikings tried to mount a fightback, but matters got worse when reduced to ten men in the 81st minute as defender Jake Merry was issued a straight red card.
There was no way back for the Vikings as Seven Sisters Onllwyn stood firm for the remainder to see out the win and their reward is a trip to the final which will be held at the Swanseacity.com Stadium with a date to be confirmed in May.
