There were just three Manderwood Pembrokeshire Football League games and two FAW Trophy cup ties completed as Storm Brian caused havoc in the county at the weekend.

Starting in the First Division, a solitary Luke Raymond strike earned Narberth a slender 1-0 victory against Milford United at Jesse Road.

Lamphey drew 3-3 at home against Neyland. Anthony Webb scored a brace alongside a goal for The Stags’ team mate Jansen Parsley, the visitors’ goal scorers were Geraint Rees, Mikey Chandler and Max Bowman-Davies.

In Division Five, Letterston 2nds drew 2-2 with Lawrenny 2nds; Alan Burnett bagged a brace for the homesters, while goals by Harry Thomas and Matthew Kidney secured a point for the visitors.

Goodwick United came from behind to seal a famous 3-2 win against Swansea League outfit Penlan Club at Phoenix Park. Luke Edwards and Darren Rone scored a goal in each half to putting the visitors in the ascendancy, but a thrilling comeback by The Phoenix Lads, with goals by Adam Raymond, Jordan Griffiths (penalty) and Chris O’Sullivan secured an excellent victory and a place in the next round of the FAW Trophy.

Grange Albion narrowly defeated Merlins Bridge 2-1 to progress in the FAW Trophy. The Cardiff based team’s goal scorers were Liam Jeremy and Jack Kane, and Nathan Greene scored the Wizards’ solitary effort.

The tie between Cwmcarn Atheltic v Hakin United was postponed.
