Action from last year's event

Organisers for the 2014 Pembrokeshire Karting Championship are making the final preparations for this year’s competition. Registration is open and can be completed through the www.pembrokeshirekarting.co.uk website.

In a bid to build on the success of last year, the winners of both the Overall and Heavyweight Championships will be given the opportunity to receive an exclusive VIP factory tour of a top Formula One team. The lucky recipients will be shown some of the most important areas of the factory, including viewing the Formula One cars. They will also meet some of the important people within the team and may even see a few famous faces.

Range of categories

This season will consist of six rounds, where each driver will race through a series of heats and a semi-final with the potential to reach either the A or B final at each event. As always, there will be different categories to ensure every driver, regardless of experience, has something to race for including the Heavyweight Division, Rookie of the Year and Fastest Lap Challenge.

For 2014 Haverfordwest-based West Wales Karting joins the calendar, meaning drivers must test their abilities on the tight, technical nature of the indoor track and also face the fast-paced challenges of an outdoor track at the Carew Karting circuit.

Open to everyone aged 16 or over, drivers are not obliged to attend every round but it is the perfect way to sample an organised motorsport championship at an affordable price.
Drivers are invited to arrive on the day, however places are limited and priority will be given to registered drivers.
