Monkton Swifts 3-3 Tenby


Monkton Swifts win 4-3 after extra time

 

Dylan James scored a terrific hat-trick which helped at ten man Monkton Swifts defeat gritty Tenby in a highly entertaining cup tie at Monkton Lane.
 
It finished 3-3 at full and in the 94th minute Davies struck an extra time winner.
 
However, things didn’t start bright for the Swifts as Tenby striker Scott Fenery scored from inside the box which gave his side an early lead. Midway through the first period Davies equalised from the edge of the six yard box as it stayed 1-1 at half time.
 
Shortly after the interval Ferney struck his second goal before substitute Connor Davies equalised before he received his marching orders in the 79th minute.
 
Davies scored from the spot to put the Swifts 3-2 ahead, but on the stroke of full time Ferney equalised for his superb treble which forced the tie into extra time.
 
Davies scored the winner in the 94th minute as the ten-man Swifts stayed firm to claim an excellent win as they marched into the semi-finals.

 

Goodwick United 5 - Clarbeston Road 0

 
Goodwick put five goals past fellow first vision outfit Clarbeston Road to ease into the last four.
 
Nigel Delaney’s men led 2-0 at the break as Jame Smith and Ben Adams both found the back of the net.
 
After the break the hosts continued to dominate matters and were rewarded with three further goals shared by Jonny Horgan, Rhys Jones and Guto Roberts.
 

 

St Ishmaels 3 – New Hedges Saundersfoot United 1

 
Striker Aaron Halam scored a brilliant first half hat-trick which secured a last four place at the expense of division two New Hedges Saundersfoot United.
 
All the goals came an extremely entertaining opening 45 minutes, on fire Hallam scored an early opener before he added a second from the penalty spot.
 
The visitors pulled one back through Harvey Drummond before Hallam struck the third time.
 
Incredibly there were no further goals as Tish stood firm in the second period to book their place in the last four of the competition.


 

Neyland 3 – Milford United 2

 

Mike Chandler scored a dramatic late winner for Neyland who overcame last season’s finalists in an all second division affair at the Athletic Ground.
 
Liam Parr broke the deadlock for the visitors before Simon Ellis equalised for Neyland as the score read 1-1 at half time.
 
Sean Hannon headed home Neyland’s second before James Morgan equalised for the Robins, eight minutes from full time Chandler scored a timely winner for The Nomads who are delighted to reach the semi-finals.
