Senior Cup 2014 - Match Officials

Dean Boswell

50 - Education Transport Worker

Referee

Dean has been a referee for ten seasons and deservedly earned the reputation of being a player’s referee in the sense that he talks to them throughout matches and takes the heat out of most situations with his quiet, but no-nonsense style. Played from the time he was 15 until he retired at 39 and took up refereeing almost straight away. Played in three finals for Johnston, two of them wins, and creates some history as he follows brothers Alan and Roy as the referee on Pembrokeshire Football’s big day!

Tom Bevan

27 - Electrician

Assistant Referee

Tom played in goal for Clarbeston Road, as did his dad Huw and now brother Richard, before taking up the whistle five years ago – and hasn’t regretted that decision since as he is on the EUFA West Wales Development Group of officials. He keeps his fitness levels high and was on the line for last season’s FAW Youth Final, and is already fast-tracked into Welsh League matches in all divisions as reward for his commitment.

Kevin Bowen

32 - Undertaker

Assistant Referee

Kevin is another young referee held in high regard by officials and players alike, with his quiet authority and sound control, allied to his fitness, marking him as one to watch for the future. He followed his father Dougie and brother Rickie as a very good player but ankle injuries caused him to stop playing at a young age. He is already officiating in Welsh League as a measure of what a good young referee he is and his only regret with reffing is that he didn’t take it up even earlier!

Senior Cup 2014 - Match Officials

Sean O’Connor

56 - Part-time shop worker

Fourth Official

Sean did a good job as referee in last season’s final between Johnston and West Dragons and is following the tradition of being fourth official for this season’s ‘big day’. Officiated at the semi-final between Johnston and Merlins Bridge and did a smashing job. Played for many years with Fishguard and Goodwick, appearing in one final, and then had nine seasons as manager of the latter, where they reached three finals. Another hugely respected match official.
