James Hinchliffe wins this aerial battleHarry Peniket starred for Carew as the 17-year-old grabbed a goal in each half which helped Carew to an emphatic victory against rock bottom Kilgetty.

Jack Christopher’s Carew outfit have won their last four games on the trot which has pushed them up the eighth position in the table.

Due to another dreadful spell of bad weather this game was switched to the Pembroke Leisure 3G pitch.

The Rooks dominated the first period as they led 5-0  - Peniket opened the scoring as Sam Christopher’s shot was block and the teenager buried the rebound.

Sam Christopher quickly added a second as keeper Kurtis Marsh’s clearance struck the striker and found the back of the net.

Peniket crossed invitingly for Carew skipper James Hinchliffe who made no mistake with a neat 12 yard volley for the third.

Some neat build up play by The Rooks saw Jonty Bennett side footed past keeper Kurtis Marsh’s left side for the fourth from 20 yards out.

Marcus Griffiths was on target with the fifth, the veteran striker struck a sweet edge of the area free kick in the bottom corner.

The second period was a far tighter affair but midway through the second period saw Griffiths and Peniket combine which enabled the teenager to score his side’s sixth with a clinical left footed finish.

Kilgetty captain Richard Cope scored late from a corner as the hosts also struck the post and crossbar on a day that The Rooks were very extremely good value for their three points.
