Peter and Jason raise funds for charity at Priskilly
A nine-hole tournament at Priskilly Forest Golf Club has helped raised vital funds for charity.
Organised by Peter and Jason Cole, the event was held in memory of Peter’s nephew Christopher Hammond, who died in November 2021 after a long battle with illness.
And there was a good turnout of club members, with £428 raised from entry fees and donations. That money has gone to the Anthony Nolan charity, which makes lifesaving connections between patients in need and strangers ready to donate their stem cells.
The overall winner was Dai James, who came in with 22 points. Afterwards, Peter and Jason thanked the Evans family at Priskilly - Rob, Rebecca, Phil and Joy, all of whom also took part and donated.
They are now organising a pool and darts night to raise further funds for the same charity. That will be held at The Farmers Arms in Mathry on Friday, July 1, 8pm start. Names have to be entered by June 29th and anyone interested in taking part can contact Peter and Jason on 01348 831 909.
