These two young teams produced some excellent cricket for a large, appreciative and supportive crowd. A very young Stackpole team found themselves up against it but never gave up and battled right to the end of an entertaining evening. Stackpole batted first and performed far better then a total of 216 might suggest. Some of the batters showed good technique but were up against accurate bowling and sharp fielding so runs were hard to come by. Ollie, Liam, Travis, Osian and Louis were the pick of the batters.

In response the bowlers found it hard to contain some of the hard hitting Hook batsmen. They had an effervescent performance from Ollie behind the wicket and some excellent fielding particularly from Summer whose ground fielding was very smart. Louis, Travis and Kayden all picked up wickets as a reward for bowling straight. For Hook, William Harries (6 boundaries), Rhys Phelps (5 boundaries) and Oscar Willington (2 boundaries and 2 sixes) led the way with some strong hitting seeing Hook reach a very good total.
