Pembrokeshire squash players Nick Dyer and James Walters recently represented Wales in the home internationals.

Nick Dyer represented the Men’s over 45 team and received the honour of being chosen as captain, with Cardiff hosting this category this year Nick didn’t have too far to travel. Nick turned out as first string in his team of five and had a really positive weekend, winning his matches against both Ireland and Scotland but the England side were just too strong as Wales finished second in the tournament, with England as winners

James Walters was selected to play for the Men’s over 50’s team and had to travel to Scotland, where Aberdeen hosted this category. James was seeded number two for his squad and just lost out against Scotland before having a convincing win against Ireland as the over 50’s ended in second place, again with England coming out on top

Coach Pete Crook said,
“It is a fantastic achievement for Pembrokeshire to have two players selected to represent Wales and this is the reward for both players who put the hard work in throughout the season, and remember their roots because both players support Pembrokeshire squash and play for the county’s Premier side out of Milford Haven.”

Both players will be presented with their Welsh representational caps at the WSRB presentation evening in July.
