Match One – Neyland A (109 for 2) beat Pembroke Dock (69 for 1) by 33 runs

Neyland elected to bat first and got off to a slow, but steady start as Patrick Bellerby (27 not out) and George Evans (14) could only muster 35 runs at the half way stage as Cumani, Butland, Murray and Scourfield all bowled good line and length stuff.Neyland A beat the Dock and Tish to head the table

Henry Durrant could only muster eight runs but then Neyland used their experience to good effect and increased the tempo considerably via Nathan Banner, who struck three threes, two fours and a six en route to a quick 25not out.

Nick Koomen also chipped in with an unbeaten 21 as Neyland added 45 runs in their final two overs, setting The Dock a sizeable target to chase.

Pembroke Dock started their innings well with 16 runs off a first over that included a heap of wides but then Luke Murray and Craig Butland allowed themselves to be tied down by Neyland’s tight bowling and even tighter fielding.

Both had useful scores of 26 apiece before retiring but Nathan Banner bowled a rare maiden and conceded only five runs in his other over, assisted by the rest of the bowling as The Dock only lost one wicket in ten overs but could only manage to score 69 runs!

Match Two – Neyland A (119 for 5) beat St Ishmaels (74 for 5) by 44 runs

Neyland openers Nathan Banner and Nick Koomen put on 27 for the first wicket before the latter fell to a superb catch by Andrew Pawlett off Dan Howells’ bowling but Patrick Bellerby (25) joined Banner in some speedy run-gathering before he was bowled by Andrew PawNeyland A beat the Dock and Tish to head the tablelett - and Henry Durrant followed first ball as he was caught by keeper Peter Bradshaw off Andrew Palmer.

Banner had to retire when he reached 25 but returned to the fray after Sean Hannon (10, including a swipe for six before he was neatly stumped by Bradshaw) and George Evans (11) departed – and the fireworks began.

He struck five threes and seven fours in his excellent 56 not out and as a result Neyland finished up on a healthy 119 for five wickets, with Dan Howells picking up a creditable 2 for 17 haul before Banner cut loose!
Tish knew they had to make a smart start but lost the big-hitting Andrew Pawlett after he had belted two fours in his score of 10, caught and bowled by Banner, whilst Peter Bradshaw struck a nice six but departed when the ubiquitous Banner took his second catch off Nick Koomen.

Dan Howells top scored with 35 not out, including four sixes, but ran out of time, as Koomen finished with amazing figures of 3 for 5 in two overs, ably assisted by Banner (1 for 13) and Durrant (1 for 8).

Match Three – St Ishmaels (134 for 3) beat Pembroke Dock (91 for 3) by 43 runs

There were runs galore in the final match as St Ishmaels amassed 134 for 3 and Pembroke Responded with a decent response of 91 for 3 in an entertaining tussle.
Neyland A beat the Dock and Tish to head the table
Tish batted first but lost Dan Howells, top scorer from the previous match, for a duck as Craig Butland took a good catch off John Camani’s bowling but Andrew Palmer had  three sixes and two fours in his 31 not out and Peter Bradshaw had four threes a four and two sixes in his undefeated 30, plus two sixes by Andrew Pawlett in his 13.

But the main impetus came from veteran batsman Kevin Bowen, who struck an amazing seven sixes in his 56 not out to launch Tish to such a big score as John Camani ended up with an excellent 2 for 18 spell.
Pembroke Dock also lost Craig Butland without scoring, adjudged lbw to James Hall, but Luke Murray scored 31 (a six, a dour and four threes) alongside Camani (five threes and two fours in 25 not out).

But they lost other wickets quickly as the pressure built up and Tish were worthy winners as Kevin Bowen completed a good individual performance with 2 for 10.
