Pembroke Dock Bowling Club Ladies Open Triples Competition
Pembroke Dock Bowling Club recently stage its 22nd annual ladies open triples competition and the event was a great success as 18 teams competed and the event was run on a round robin basis, so it was a full day for all 54 talented lady players from all over the county, with many splendid matches taking place.
The event was once again well organised by Mr. Gerard Thomas of Pembroke Dock Bowling Club and congratulations must go to the ladies from Milford Haven Bowling Club: Mrs Liz Barratt, Mrs Sylvia Davies and Mrs Lynn Grant who won the coveted shield.
Rewarded for consistency
They bowled well all day and ran out eventual winners in a nail biting finish, winning by one shot on the last end, as they beat Mrs Trish Campodonic, Jeannette Phelps and Margaret Sanders from Neyland Bowling Club in a well-contested final.
The ladies’ shield was presented by Mrs Diana Davies, President of Pembroke Dock Bowling Club, and the ladies from the club once again excelled in the kitchen, keeping all contestants happy with their excellent catering, whilst many compliments were passed on to the green staff for the maintenance of an excellent playing service.
