Whitland’s win gives them the section silverware

 

Whitland 135 for 4 (20) beat Pembroke 69 all out (5) by 66 runs

 
Congratulations to Whitland Ladies on winning the second division title with a match still in hand. It is fitting reward for their excellent campaign and their reward is promotion to the top echelon for the 2027 season!
 
The Lady Borderers were asked to bat first at Spring Hill by opponents Pembroke and again showed their batting strength as they sped past the three-figure mark and built a big final tally as Angharad Jenkins, Kelly Evans and Meg Davies all reached the retirement score despite the efforts of the visitors’ bowlers Bobbie Neale, Jodie Lewis and Summer Russant.
 
Pembroke found it hard going from the outset of their innings as Ellie Fuller grabbed four wickets for peanuts, supported by a brace apiece by Amy Morgan and Liz Richards.
 
Kelly Evans also chipped in with a wicket  as no-one in the Pembroke camp managed double figures - and Whitland were home and dry by 66 runs!

Tight finish before Seasiders and Cresselly share the spoils

 

Saundersfoot 110 for 3 (13) tied with Cresselly 2nds 110 for 7 (11)

 
 
There was a real battle in the match between Cresselly 2nds and Saundersfoot, where fortunes ebbed and flowed throughout - and they eventually tied, a good result since neither side deserved to lose.
 
The Seasiders were asked to bat first and finished with a decent score as Thalia Ennis and Madi Neye both reached the retirement targets Anya Beynon gave support against the bowling of Teagan Cartwright and Ava Midgley.
 
Cresselly were in contention throughout against their second-placed opposition as Lois Hewlett-Dyer, Teagan and Ava batted well but the end of a tense 20 overs each  saw the teams tied!

Kilgetty gain morale-boosting win

 
 

Llangwm Ladies 82 for 8 (7) lost to Kilgetty 85 for 7 (19) by 3 wickets

 
 
There was a very tight finish at Pill Parks as Llangwm opted to bat first but struggled to reach a challenging tally -  although they did well to force Kilgetty into a tight finish before the visitors edged home for an excellent result against a team three places higher in the section table.
 
Lilly Thomas was again Llangwm’s top player as she reached the retirement requirement, with support from Zoe and Elsie Brick - and then shared four wickets with Maddie Davies.
 
It is to Kilgetty’s credit that they held their nerve on the run-in after Beth Martin, Daisy and Chloe Bland led their batting - and their reward was a welcome 19 league points.
