Ladies Cricket - Divisions 1 and 2 - 2nd June 2026
Division One:
Cresselly continue to dominate as Hook stumble
Hook 84 for 6 (5) lost to Cresselly 117 for 3 (18) by 33 runs
Matches between these old rivals are traditionally hard fought, with close verdicts either way, but on this occasion, it was Cresselly who held the edge and were good value for victory by a relatively wide margin.
Cresselly batted first and managed to produce a challenging target, thanks to the batting skills of Eleri Williams, Ffion Ashman, Jess Gibby and Laurn Davies, alongside 22 extras as they lost just three wickets, with one each for Tia Rees, Beth Chapman and Sam Rossiter.
Hook skipper Sam joined the in-form Kacey Arran as best batters for the home side but no-one else managed double figures, other than those in the ‘extras’ column.
Ava Midgley and Ffion Ashman shared four wickets in the Hook response and Lucy Johnson also claimed a wicket and Hook were never able to build momentum and so rarely seemed likely to grab victory as a result!
Cresselly Batting: Eleri Williams 26*, Ffion Ashman 21, Jess Gibby 17, Lauren Davies 20, Extras 22
Hook Bowling: Tia Rees 11-22, Sam Rossiter 1-18, B Chapman 1-15

Burton too strong all-round for The Dock
Burton 107 for 6 (20) beat Pembroke Dock 43 all out (5) by 64 runs
Burton bagged maximum bonus points against Pembroke Dock as reward for a comfortable win as they batted better and also bowled and fielded well as they put their wealth of experience to good effect.
They reached three figures thanks to retirement scored from Olivia James and Wela Scale but were kept outside a large score thanks to Martha Bhari and Poppy Price.
But Poppy’s mum Abbey was the only Dock batter to manage double figures as Becca Barton tore into action with such accuracy that she returned a remarkable five-wicket haul, with completing an excellent all-round performance with a wicket brace as The Dock were dismissed cheaply to give Burton victory.
Burton Batting: Olivia James 26*, Wella Scale 26*
Pembroke Dock Bowling: Poppy Price 1-9, Martha Bhari 2-21

Town Ladies enjoy welcome success
Haverfordwest 106 for 3 (19) beat St Ishmaels 105 for 9 (6) by 7 wickets

Haverfordwest bounced back from defeat in their previous match and gained a win over St Ishmaels where they mangled to Chas down a reasonable Tish tally.
Tish batted first and a low score seemed inevitable, despite double figures from Linzi Picton and Lucy Patterson against outstanding bowling by Millie Pullin,(who grabbed five wickets), alongside a wicket apiece for Summer Smith, Ellen Keane and Lowis Hughes.
But then Tracey Chandra arrived as last batter for Tish and proceeded to launch a single-handed counter-attack en route to an amazing innings of 38, with 15 extras as a bonus.
Haverfordwest then batted well through Lyn Ward, Lowis Hughes and Ellen Keane before 20 extras helped Ali Wadya, who was still there at the end, steer them home in only 17.3 overs, despite useful bowling by Rachel McGuire and Tei Tallett.

Whitland continue their winning ways - but only just!
Pembroke 87 for 5 (5) lost to Whitland 89 for 3 (16) by 2 runs
Whitland were pushed all the way by a battling Pembroke side at Treleet, where the visitors batted first but were unable to build their more recent commanding totals – but when Pembroke batted they fell an agonizing three runs short of victory and missed the chance of welcome win bonus points.
Kelly Evans and Amy Morgan were the top-scoring Whitland batters as Jodie Lewis and Bobbie Neale bowled tight spells for Pembroke which gave them the chance to grab a big win.
Jodie and Chloe then led the Pembroke batting, ably assisted by 18 extras, but with Kelly Evans, Liz Richards and Ellie Fuller keeping things tight for The Borderettes the homesters were that few runs adrift at the end, despite having five wickets still in hand!
Pembroke Batting: Jodie Lewis 25*, Chloe Jones 20, Extras 18
Whitland Bowling: Kelly Evans 2-28, Liz Richards 1-22, Ellie Fuller 1-24

Seasiders still stay in the hunt for top spot
Saundersfoot 129 for 4 (19) beat Cresselly Seconds 105 for 9 (7) by 24 runs
Saundersfioot maintained their free-scoring record against Cresselly Seconds to gain their expected success – but not before inexperienced Cresselly girls had also managed a three-figure score but were still 24 runs behind at the finish.
Madi Neye and Talia Evans were again the top Seasiders batters before retiring, with Sophia Cole and Imogen Hicks the visitors’ wicket-takers.
Sophia also topped the Cresselly batting but good bowling from Talia and particularly Madi ensured victory for the home side.

Kilgetty showed a real improvement as they pushed Llangwm hard before the latter club’s greater experience paid off and they came through with success by a narrow margin
The Brick girls were again in good form as Daisy topped their scoring before reaching the retirement total and Zoe also featured, despite two wickets each for Chloe Bland and Libby Evans.
Chloe also top scored and found support from Cara Evans but Lilly Thomas grabbed three wickets, assisted by Zoe, to see Llangwm home – but with Kilgetty showing they are beginning to find their feet at this level!
