Ladies Cricket - Divisions 1 and 2 - 14th July 2026

 Cresselly Ladies - League champs

DIVISION ONE:

Cresselly claim deserved double

Hook 55 for 6 (2) lost to Cresselly 56 for 0 (15) by 10 wickets

Congratulations to Cresselly Ladies as they showed they are comfortably the best side in the county as they followed up their easy win over Hook in the Clive Huxley Cup on the Sunday and three days later took on their nearest rivals again and this 10-wicket success earned them the league and cup double with matches in hand.

Hook were asked to bat first and only consistent opener Kate Farr stayed long and there was a gritty contribution from Jo Kerrison, called out of a lengthy retirement to help a depleted side, but excellent bowling by Ava Midgley, Lauren Davies and Caitlin Lewis, backed up by excellent work in the field, meant that Hook could only muster a below-par total

Then Ffion Ashman took control with the bat as she raced to the retirement score, with not out cameos from Lucy Johnson and Ava Midgley, so that they raced to their victory in double-quick time!

Hook Batting: Kate Farr 19, Jo Kerrison 13
Cresselly Bowling: Ava Midgley 3-10, Lauren Davies 2-8, Caitlin Lewis 1-4
Cresselly Batting: Ffion Ashman 266*, Ava Midgley 11*, Lucy Johnson 11*

Burton Ladies

Burton beat The Dock at Oatfield Park

Pembroke Dock 69 for 4 (3) lost to Burton 71 for 1 (15) by 9 wickets

Burton won the toasts at home to Pembroke Dock and then did well to restrict their opponents to a below-par score for 20 overs - and then knocked off the runs with lots of overs, and plenty of wickets in hand!

Sion James top scored for The Dock before retiring and again it was Katie Gibbins who was the only other batter to stay long at the crease against tight bowling by Olivia James, Rhiannon Morgan and Wells Scale.

Then Yazmin Kiff and Anna Ridge took control for the home side and the only successful wicket-taker for The Dock was again Martha Bahri.

Pembroke Dock Batting: Katie Gibbins 20, Sian James 26*
Burton Bowling: Olivia James 2-20, Rhiannon Morgan 1-9,  Wella Scale 1-19

Lucy leads Tish to latest win

St Ishmaels 92 for 9 (17) beat Haverfordwest 64 for 7 (7) by 28 runs

Lucy Patterson - more runs for TishTish proved far too strong for Haverfordwest after being asked to bat first and building a sizeable score before keeping things tight in the field to claim the verdict.

Lucy Patterson was again in top batting form for Tish and found support from Jo Bradshaw and Charl Couston-Weller, plus 17 extras, as Lowis Hughes and Millie Pullin produced formidable figures for The Town but needed just a little more support.

Lola Phillips, Rachel McGuire and Charl then claimed a wicket apiece for Tish as Lyn Ward was again the pick of the Haverfordwest batting line-up before she had to retire - and only Summer Smith managing double figures alongside her.

Tish Batting: Lucy Patterson 26*, Jo Bradshaw 11, Charl Couston-Weller 11, Extras 17

DIVISION TWO:

Borderers bag a big home win

Whitland 126 for 4 (18) beat Cresselly 2nds 90 for 6 (6) by 36 runs

Kelly Evans - batted and bowled well again for WhitlandWhitland proved too strong with the bat against a Cresselly Second team that continues to gain vital experience with a number of youngsters becoming more confident as the weeks go on.

Asked to bat first, Whitland had important runs from regular contributors to their batting tallies in Angharad Jenkins and Kelly Evans as Chelsea Morris, Jess Lewis and Imogen Hicks bowled well but were never quite able to gain the ascendancy as the homesters comfortably passed the three-figure mark.

Tegan Cartwright and Jess Lewis reached double figures when their turn came to bat but Kelly Evans showed why she is such an important all-rounder with two wickets and support from Tegan Ryan and Meg Davies keeping Whitland on top.

Cresselly 2nds Bowling: Chelsea Morris 2-7, Jess Lewis 1-19, Imogen Hicks 1-25

Pembroke power to easy victory

Pembroke 113 for 4 (20) beat Kilgetty 49 all out (4) by 64 runs

Kim Barnes - batted really well for PembrokePembroke’s performance in their home game against Kilgetty earned them maximum bonus points as they batted well and then kept things really tight in the visitors’ response.

Kim Barnes, Bobbie Neale and Ginny Davies are all very experienced batters and their combined runs helped their team were responsible for over half their score as Chloe Bland was the pick of the Kilgetty bowlers, followed by Cara Evans.

Pembroke’s attack was led by Jamie Moseley and Jodie Lewis but the bowling was supported by excellent fielding that saw Katie Mccreath manage double figures but Kilgetty were never quite in the hunt for a victory that deservedly went to Pembroke at Treleet.

Pembroke Batting: Kim Barnes 25*, Bobbie Neale 22, Ginny Davies 17*
Kilgetty Bowling: Chloe Bland 3-16, Cara Evans 1-9
Kilgetty Batting: Katie Mccreath 10*
