Burton end season with easy win over Tish

 

Burton (20) 63 for 0 beat St Ishmaels (2) 59 all out by 10 wickets

 

Burton ended their season on a high note after Tish opted to bat first but then struggled against the Burton bowlers, well led by Yasmin Kiff and Rhiannon Morgan, with only the consistent Rachel McGuire and Emma Aldred managing double figures.


 
Yasmin then rounded off her own campaign as she also starred with the bat, sharing an unbroken opening partnership with Anna Ridge that saw them stroll to victory from only 8.3 of their 20 overs.

Borderettes continue to set the pace

 

Whitland (18) 132 for 3 beat Saundersfoot (6) 101 for 6 by 31 runs

 

Whitland maintained their good form as they resisted a strong challenge from Saundersfoot after showing their batting confidence by electing to bat first, building up a big final tally for the loss of just three wickets and then resisting The Seasiders strong attempts to stay in contention as they reached a three-figure score themselves.
 
Three of Whitland’s ‘Big Guns’ in Lani Hogben, Kelly Evans and Amy Morgan again fired their way to the retirement score, despite some good bowling from Madi Neye, Anya Beynon and Nell Mackay.
 
But The Seasiders knew what a huge challenge they faced when they went in to bat against the  home bowling quartet of Amy, Liz Richards, Tegan Ryan and especially Kelly – and although Saundersfoot’s consistent batter Madi Neye batted really well, supported by Jen Thomas, Whitland picked up a huge haul of points to boost their promotion hopes.

Cresselly cruise to Pill Parks win

Llangwm (4) 75 for 6 lost to Cresselly 2nds (16) 76 for 3 by 7 wickets

 
 

Cresselly Seconds’  excellent mix of promising youth and experience has seen a real improvement in their results and they were comfortable winners over a Llangwm side that has the same formula of experienced players helping the youngsters in their rapidly developing squad.
 
Llangwm had Zoe Brick leading the way in their batting, ably assisted by Jess Ainsworth but Jess Lewis returned top bowling figures for Cresselly alongside Imogen Hicks and Teagan Cartwright.
 
Then Zoe Minnett led the Cresselly counter-attack so that although Lilly Thomas, Daisy Brick and especially Ruby Arnold bowled well for Llangwm they only bowled 16.4 of the overs as Cresselly batted sensibly.

Pembroke batting pays off as Carew battle hard

Pembroke (18) 127 for 1 beat Carew (5) 105 for 6 by 22 runs

 

Pembroke entertained Carew at their Treleet Ground and picked up 18 points for their excellent batting and keeping Carew, who received six points as consolation for their efforts.
 
Jamie Dyfresney-John, Jodie Lewis were undefeated, ably assisted by Bobbie Neale and Ginny Davies, led the Pembroke batting and the only Carew wicket-taker was Gwennie Hicks.
 
Carew had a trio of successful batters in Jess, Lilly and Nia but no-one was able to stay long enough to make that vital big score to take them close!
