Tish Ladies

St Ishmaels (56 all out) lost to Hook (57 for 0) by 10 wickets

Kate Farr - batted really well for HookKacey Arran more runs for HookSt Ishmaels won the toss against visitors Hook and bravely opted to bat first but their attacking move didn’t pay off because they were dismissed for 56 by the experienced Hook bowlers and then Sam Rossiter’s team took just five overs to knock off the runs without losing a single wicket.

Not one Tish batter managed double figures when they were dismissed in 18.2 overs as the strike trio of Tia Rees, Emma Brazier and Maisy Davies bowled good lines and were well supported by their fielders.

Then Kate Farr and Kacey Arran were soon into their stride and punished anything loose whilst running well between the wickets - but credit to Tish because they battled to the very end and the game was played in an excellent spirit.

St Ishmaels Innings:

Tracey Chandra 9

Tia Rees 3-7, Maisy Davies 2-11, Emma Brazier 3-11

Hook Innings:

Kate Farr 27*, Kacey Arran 27*

Cresselly (160 for 2) beat Llangwm (19 all out) by 141 runs

Meg Arthur - 42 runs and 4 for 12 for CressellyAva Midgley 4 for 0 for CressellyNever was the gap in experience more clearly shown than in this match at Pill Parks as Cresselly were asked to bat first as very strong contenders for this silverware and Llangwm’s young and inexperienced team found it very hard going but never gave up trying.

Ffion Ashman and Mega Arthur, who have both been around a long time, and have also been regulars in men’s league cricket for a number of years, finished with 42 runs apiece, with Ffion not out at the end - and the onslaught continued as Lucy Thomas and Jess Gibby also kept the scorers busy.

Rosie Thomas was the successful wicket-taker for Llangwm and skipper Pam Asson and the Brick girls will make sure that their young charges use this as part of their steep learning curve.

They also found it hard going with the bat as Ava Midgley and Meg Arthur shared eight wickets in shooting them out but as one Cresselly player told us,

“We struggled when we set out and there are some very promising young players in Llangwm who will soon find it easier as they grow in experience.”

Cresselly Innings:

Meg Arthur 42, Lucy Johnson 32, Ffion Ashman 42*, Jess Gibby 26*

Rosie Thomas 1-26

Llangwm Innings:

Ava Midgley 4-0, Meg Arthur 4-12, Lucy Johnson 1-2

Umpires: Toby Asson & Eleri Williams

Burton Ladies

Burton (150 for 7) beat Saundersfoot (36 all out) by 114 runs

Burton won the toss at Saundersfoot and choose to bat first before building up a huge tally which put pressure on the home batters, who were bowled out cheaply.

Rhiannon Morgan, Bronwen Scale and Finola England all batted well for Burton, despite the efforts of Talia Ennis and Madi Neye with the ball.

But the home side found it hard going with the bat against the Burton bowling quartet of Becca Barton, Lucy Neale, Olivia James and Chloe Lewis and lost wickets at regular intervals as Burton also fielded well to keep the pressure on.

Burton Innings:

Rhiannon Morgan 25, Bronwen Scale 23, Finola England 30

Talia Ennis 2-30, Madi Neye 1-7

Saundersfoot Innings:

Becca Barton 3-1, Lucy Neale 2-5, Chloe Lewis 2-7, Olivia James 1-2

Umpires: Chris Hawkes & Dan Ridge

Scorer: Dianne Morris

Pembroke Dock Ladies

Pembroke Dock (132 for 6) beat Pembroke (107 for 5) by 25 runs

Cheryl Hughes - great half century for The DockThe closest quarter-final took place at Treleet as neighbours Pembroke Dock travelled up the hill to Pembroke and claimed the local bragging rights after being asked to bat first, batting well and keeping Pembroke just behind the required run rate to move into the last four with the current three ‘big ‘guns’ of ladies’ cricket.

Cheryl Hughes was the lynch-pin in the Dock batting with a powerful half century and found support from Katie Griffiths, despite the useful bowling efforts of Summer Russant and Chloe Jones.

Chloe then joined Jamie Moseley and Bobby Neale as the main batters for the homesters but Katie G led the Dock bowling so that they were good value for victory in the final analysis!

Pembroke Dock Innings:

Cheryl Hughes 52, Katie Griffiths 24

Summer Russant 3-24, Chloe Jones 2-29

Pembroke Innings:

Jamie Moseley 29, Chloe Jones 19, Bobby Neale 18*

Katie Griffiths 2-15, Martha Bari 1-4

Umpires: Luke Butler & Nick Daley

Scorer: Ginny Davies
